best wishes for you. Just get yourself on what contract is you are most familiar/ like to deal with because its behavior should not "surprise" you. If you like/ familiar with oil and gas and used to read about it, then that's your hunt. If you are in construction and familiar with steel and copper demand and prices, then that's your target and so on.
Good luck

Hi, everyone in this private forum!!!
To be honest I have no idea what to anticipate from this group, but I can say what has brought me here. And that is struggling in trading, "seeking the lite" let's say, quest for my "holy grail" and the realization that "grail" is always within us, we just need to get ability to see it.
What was the road I passed in trading? I've started from Forex markets as may be most of us and still trying to grasp that tough business, I passed the way from losing trader to breakeven trader and never tried live trading, just demoing, the reason I couldn't get profitable even in demo trading. The method I used in trading and still sticks to is Price Action, let's say pure charts, no or minimum indicators and common sense. I don't have experience in futures trading and just know that trading in futures markets is slightly different from trading in Forex markets. I don't know which methods or strategies are taught in this private forum, but may be they will help to improve my trading and at last become consistently profitable trader and found new home in this community helping others with my knowledge and experience.
Anyway I'm willing to learn, teach me, guys and gals. I'm ready to do that hard job with your assistance and guidance.
I've been trading stocks for 3 years with decent success. I'm looking to switch to futures, mainly ES and CL. With stocks, I would average holding a position for a few months. With futures, I'm definitely interested in day trading.
I have a M-F 8-5 job so I'm sim trading after work now using market replay with NinjaTrader for free. I can't install software on my work computer so I've been trying to find a good mobile app to use. I've also been thinking about using a remote desktop app to view my home pc from my phone.
Thanks for taking the time to read. I'm always happy to get any tips or feedback.
new to the forums, looking for information that's not constantly in a subtle/not so subtle advertisement.
Used to work for an asset manager but focused almost exclusively on ETFs, our group was responsible for best execution/product valuation - not something that helps too much with trading that retail does.
Always been interested in trading but I've yet to find my niche.
I am an on again, off again trader who has just traded equities. I have struggled with my trading consistency mostly because of a lack of dedication and partly due to being overwhelmed with the wide range of stocks. In this effort, I spent a lot of time (and money) on various on-line trading 'courses', to no real benefit (again, this is due to my lack of dedication).
With that said, I am getting real tired of having to work for someone else and so, I am using this as motivation to rededicate myself to trading.
I have become seduced by the allure of futures trading and was doing some research, when I came upon this site.
Having perused a few of the forums, I can see that this is what I was looking for (essentially a one-stop shop for my futures learning) and decided to become an elite member. I am excited to dig further into all of the forum discussions and see what wisdom you all have to impart.
I would like to start by saying I'm new to trading.
I am very interested in learning how and what to trade?
Stocks, I have recently opened a paper trading account with eOption to practice different strategies I have been reading about in some ebooks. I plan to use only paper trading while I learn and not open a cash account until after the new year.
I have found that there are LOTS of trading sites that charge for their EXPERT advise. But when you read other investors reviews, they are mostly all bad or worse postings.
I haven't really looked into futures or commodities much yet. So I am looking forward to reading everyone's ideas and knowledgeable posts.
Hello,
I am glad to be a part of this platform. I am new to currency trading. I was told that I am a natural. I hope that proves to be true I attended online trading academy which challenged my thought process but I like their concepts and I am rules based trader now.!
Glad to have joined. I have a small amount of experience trading the ES from a 3 minute chart. I recently purchased the Jigsaw tools and have not yet started trading again. I just want to read and try to absorb as much as I can about order flow. I plan on retiring within the next 6-9 months and would like to learn how to be a successful trader in retirement.
