I am Britney Alston and I am an active trader. I began trading in 1998 with stocks and options, then converted into Forex trading.I like analyzing and writing on forex trading to increase my knowledge and spread its understanding.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
HI, my name is Les and I trade primarily ETF's. I am a technical trader only having learned the hard way what emotion can do to my trades. Glad to be here. Looking for info on coding ThinkOrSwim scripts also.
Thanks for letting me in. I've been a swing trader and long-term investor for a few years now. Started with buying and holding Vanguard and iShares etfs but soon got into trend following and momentum swing trading, mostly geographical (country) etfs. My appetite for risk has grown and currently my portfolio is about 20% invested in very high risk instruments like XIV and leveraged equity etfs, both long and short. It's all swing trading with a variety of indicators. Got more and more interested in commodities and futures and am looking to somehow diversify my portfolio in this direction. Long-term I'm looking to get into positional and day trading but I'm only beginning to study this now.
Not to water down...but rather have realistic expectation...all the effort will only be yours.
Am sure you will be able to look into many good threads on the site & ask questions. people on the forum generally and liberally out pour ideas.....but it will be unto you to decide if you find value in them or rather can you use any of it.
Another piece of advice: which method call are you using for your timing measurements? C# has a few timer calls but the trivial ones have poor accuracy.
though you may get answers everything needs to be tested/validated by you. anyone can be bs's'ing on the net.
I'm Brett from Phoenix, AZ. I'm a recovering "buy and hold" investor, and have developed a common condition of new traders... "the paralysis of analysis." I've kicked the tires to more "methods" than I care to admit, and have somehow managed not to part with my capital by falling for the many scammer charlatan "educators" out there. I've recently attended a couple of "trading seminars" (see also: infomercials), and at one was introduced to the idea of "trading futures." I stumbled upon this forum, and alas, my journey here begins. Happy to be here.
My name is Lacher and I am a disabled veteran iith a brain injury and don't know how long I might have my job at the full time rate so I became interested in trading but have had no success to date. But I am willing to learn how to trade successfully to support my income. I have tried on my own and with help on charts but nothing has helped so far. Hope being a part of this community helps . Thank you for letting me join.
