I'm a new day trader looking for additional stocks to add to my watch list. I have to say that the lingo is still new to me, so I'm learning, but I work in high tech and have been trading stocks minimally for at least the last 20 years. I'm now reaching retirement and looking at advancing my retirement funds, within reason, by day trading. I look forward to everyone's insight!!!
Hi, I'm glad to join the forum. I started learning and dreaming about successful trading about two years ago and started trading futures about a year ago. The reality is hard, no success, and the continuing losses made me stop dreaming. But still, I hope consistent hard work, learning and a little help will move me forward (one day).
Hi, I started demo trading last year after I had an accident at work and was no longer able to continue with the work I've
been doing my whole life, heavy equipment operation. I have worked for myself for many years, and didn't really know where to go after the accident. My brother has been trading for several years and encouraged me to try it. I wasn't really interested in the kind of risk that wide open futures trading would expose me too. So, after looking around I found NADEX, and started in with binary trading. I used their charting for awhile, but felt it was kind of inadequate after looking at what my brother was getting into with his charting. Once again I looked around and settled on using Ninjatrader 7. Anyway, I feel like I have a good handle on using, and less so reading the charting software, but being all alone here at the house with no one to talk with about trading (my brother scoffs at me for using NADEX), and without any type of mentor, or trading room to participate in, is holding me back. I totally agree with Big Mike, that you can be your own worst enemy when it comes to making poor choices, whether it be on entry or exit from a trade. I have been trading live for a few months starting out with $500.00 US. I haven't busted out, but I haven't gotten ahead very much either. I have made NADEX a bunch of money on trade fees to be sure. By joining Futures IO i hope to put some, if not all of that behind me and be able to get back to making a decent living with the abilities I have left to me. I'm glad to be here and hope we all can be more successful together. Thanks
In keeping with Dr. Alexander Elder's words of wisdom, My name is Paul and I am a loser.
That was actually a little tough to write. I started trading back in the early 90's and have done it full time since 2009. I have not actually started in the futures market yet, seeking to have a thorough understanding before I commit money to the market. I am here looking for your knowledge and wisdom so as to avoid the many pitfalls that exist.
