I've been in market for relatively short time of 3 years and only last year has been very serious affair for me, so don't get mad if I say silly thing
I mostly trade NIFTY, BANKNIFTY and Crude futures. And not on US/EU exchanges, so my interactions would be limited to mostly ideas or my silly rambling.
I was attracted to this forum while reading information on internet regarding our everyday trading tools, and on quite a lot of things actually, I found considerable amount of it from the members here, especially and , so I decided to finally join.
Best way to learn is from exchange of ideas, so I'll be in your care
I was a hobby trader of stocks and options and made some money, probably by accident. I got into forex and, like most traders, experimented extensively with indicators. I made money and lost money but have ultimately made money. Then I got into futures and it's been pretty much the same. I still like technical analysis but I've refined a system that works well for me. I trade the ES futures and EURUSD, both cash and futures.
At the moment, I am a full time trader and have been for almost 5 years.
I've been a forum member for a long time and joined to watch a few of Suri Dudella's (Surinotes) presentations. Found them informative and also showed me that to make it in trading I would have to step up my game to keep up with the pros so they won't take my money
Been interested in the markets ever since I watched the chaos ensue on TV during October 1987.
Got serious during a few stints over the years, but focus and diligence waned after a while. I'm sure you all know what that led to.
I could write a book detailing all of my ups and downs over the years, but will spare you the TL;DR.
Mostly trade stocks, covered calls, cash secured puts, and simple options.
I am a business and trade engineer fresh off school in South America. I have been trading since last year with no profits yet, I have traded XAU, some CFDs, stocks and crypto. I feel I still have to improve my techniques and analysis to find the results I'm after.
I hope this Community will help me polish my technique to be a successful trader and one day be able to help people in the same way.
Hi, I am just a newbie who has been playing with market data for a few years now, looking forward to using what I learned so far and start trading soon
Join a small group of traders in a chat, maybe or paltalk and ask questions, pick one of the trading journals here on io and study their setups on one market. If you still find futures aren't for you after a few months, than I would suggest going over to spot forex and doing the free course at Babypips called University. it's totally free but very in depth and you will learn a lot. Don't be fooled at the fact it's a free course, if anyone we're selling something similar they'd charge you in the realm of $3k to $10k for this so take advantage of it and study. I think with less capital forex might be a better option for you to build an account. Futures requires capital and then more capital. Undercapitalized traders rarely make it in trading and even less so in futures, but in forex you can build a small account trading mini lots or micro lots. Good luck
thanks for having this forum and sharing your knowledge. I have been trading on TOS and forex for 4 years. My learning has cost me 150k so far. i am looking forward to trading with robots either leased or designed by me. hoping to have consistent returns. I am evaluating the best software to trade with, thinking of Ninjatrader right now.
