Hi everybody,
I have previously heard good things years ago about Big Mike and that memory attracted my attention to Futures IO. I started trading Futures, options on Futures years ago and did quite well. Then I had to take a long break from it and got back into trading stocks and options. I am hoping to get back into Futures again and few like a beginner. So I am starting from scratch and want to learn about how to get going again. Thanks for creating this forum.
My name is Sam and I am looking forward to actively participate in this forum! I have been trading for a few years, and have gotten to a point where I don't know if I want to continue. I have been testing my algo using ninjatrader, and can't seem to replicate live sim results when using market replay (and backtesting is completely 'off').
I was looking for insight to using a different SIM when I came across this site. I look forward to discovering what people have posted regarding this area of trading, and look forward to any advice you can provide.
I've been trading the EUR/USD for 4 years succesfully using stochastics elasticity and price action 3 bar pivot formations. I now decided to switch to futures and concentrate on new Micro E-mini SP500 contracts. I apreciate any advice on that instrument!
Hey everyone. Just introducing myself briefly. I started trading forex about 2 years ago, which was basically akin to riding the Superman ride at Six Flags. Only recently started doing more research into futures and comparing the pros and cons of both markets and decided to make the full switch over from forex after it dawned on me that I actually cherish transparency and regulation over......well forex in general.
I would like to get a much better handle on order flow/volume analysis, which I'm sure I will after surfing through the vast amount of posts and threads on here that focus on those subjects. Main goal is to get to a point where I can support myself through trading well enough to focus on what I really want to do in life, drawing and traveling. Losses are inevitable, and I don't mind losing period (the cost of doing business really). I just want to become as proficient as I possibly can at money management so that I'm doing more than just breaking even every week as a day trader.
Glad to be a part of the community, and happy trading to you all!
My name is Ricky and I am new to the game. My goal is to use futures trading to generate a supplemental income to my salary. My goal is not necessarily to make a million bucks, but to to have a source of income that I can earn anywhere in the world.
I am having trouble figuring out how to get started and what I needed to start before doing SIM trading. I read a book on technical analysis and I just discovered John Grady's NO BS trading course. I've looked into his courses and I understand that his main technique is scalping. I want to get familiar with other types of strategies before I even start doing SIM trading. I understand that there's a huge learning curve, but I'm committed to achieving financial independence.
Hi All,
I am a UK-based amateur, but so far buying and selling stocks on the US stock markets only. I hope to learn more-advanced techniques using this forum.

I have been a member in this community for almost 2 years without being very active. I recently (finally) realized for myself that it is very important to talk about things preferably with people who have a similar, positive mindset. I feel like it does not really matter what level you are at or what difficulties you are about to overcome. Personally I am currently working on gaining confidence in my trading and hope I can add to that by sharing stuff and learn from others.
I am looking forward to have interesting conversations.
