I am reading this forum for the last couple of hours and get a feeling that the members here are friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely interested in becoming better and more profitable.
I was a professional stocks dealer several years ago. I proved inadequate at the big market crash and lost tons of money. For the last 6 months I am studying the Forex.
I have a BA and MA in Computer Science and my aim is to make an ATS. If I can conclude to some solid rules, then I know I can program them into a trading strategy. I love analysis and price action. But I want to balance this by devoting time to my family.
Welcome, would love to hear from you and your understanding how the big market works...any insights...any solutions or ideas would be greatly appreciated,
Hi Mike, I am a futures index trader that just recently discovered this forum. I have been trading futures for 5 years, and continue to be learning new things. I use Market profile,
trend lines and channels for my method. I look forward to learning more about your forum.
Hello all I just finished a course on futures and looking to not lose money. Frankly, it's daunting looking at all the indicators out there. Is there a ranking or something? I'm thinking along the lines of most hits total.
hi; i've been studying the markets since 2001. the year in which my account took aturn for the worst.after trying many methods and meeting many "gurus". some of them from the books. i have focused on trading the s&p eminis and some stocks and etfs. i have read a variety of books al brooks' included. at this juncture i am starting to see more positive results.and i am in the process of incorporating what i do into a plan. i think that by writing it as a set of guidelines, what i do will become even more clear . at least to myself. i have read what other people do, and it seems to me that each person in the end creates his own set of rules. however, i also think people can learn from others. therein lies the value of this forum.
glad to meet you all.
Hi everyone,
I'm totally new to trading, I just stumbled upon this forum by accident and I have been reading a lot and I have learned more on this forum than I have from any other site, so that's why I decided to become a member. I'm mostly interested in trading oil futures, specifically CL. I hope to learn some more from this forum and begin to trade on a sim and eventually begin to actually trade. Anyways, great to be here.
I am a software engineer with BS in computer science looking to learn about trading forex using automated systems. Im on the west coast so the forex market trending during the evenings caught my interest. I found this site by doing a google search for NinjaTrader systems trading tutorial and found a video on this site. Thanks Big Mike for walking me through my first NinjaTrader program.
