You can actually download Renko from Big Mikes. I was just making reference to the website.
Try this:
Once you download Renko, copy the ZIP file to "My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\Custom\Indicator". Open up NT and Import the indicator into NT. After that open up a chart and select Renko for bars.
If you have downloaded Renko and Imported it, it should be in the "Format Data Series ---> Interval Settings"; just "Right" click your mouse on your chart, and select "Format Data Series". Select "Renko" from the drop-down options "bar" (you'll see other options such as "Tick", "Volume", "Range", etc).
Well, typical pre fed day activity....... a little action in the morning session and a lot of garbage all afternoon!!!
I'm sure most of the Big Mike Traders are experienced when it comes to FED DAY but if there are any beginners out there.....it's best to observe FED DAY before you try to trade it!! There might be a trade or two in the morning but......just prior to the FED announcement there is usually a lull....then the announcement....and all hell breaks loose...let this play out.....then have a crack at it when things have settled down. Otherwise.....just sit and watch. If you are not experienced you will lose your money...I guarantee it.
I can't seem to get the renko bars to work even after I compile them. Oh well, guess I'll
just have to keep relying on my trendlines. Seeing it was an NR7 day and a Fed I knew
there had to be some movement. Done for now with two trades. I'll come back after the
fed speaks. I seem to like the TF. Hey Wizard I'm using an 8 range chart. Would like to know how you like to trade it. Stops, targets etc.
