I used Zenfire for a long time and was mostly satisfied as it was much better than most feeds I had used in the past. But recently started having disconnects mostly on weekends but then happened a few time during trading hours. I do not know why? But decided to give Rithmic a try as disconnects during trading hours are a dreadful thought and the stuff of nightmares for a trader. Especially if in a live trade.
Zenfire is a derivative of Rithmic for lack of better words but my understanding is it has it's own servers. I have been on Rithmic for a few weeks and there have been no disconnects and it just seems smoother. I have no data to back up the smoother observations and it may be all in my mind.
I am really liking pure rithmic vs zenfire derivative.
Anyone else have a similar or different experience?
"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."

I also use it for OFA software. I have compared it to the datafeed that was used in the OFA training room, DB say he uses DTN IQ feed. It was very close to it. I am still sim trading using the OFA though ... I'm trying to come up with a consistently profitable methodolgy.

Zen Fire just re-brands Rithmic and is sort of an OEM. While the "source" is Rithmic, there appear to be some changes Zen Fire makes which based on what has been reported on the forums causes more problems than anything else, when compared to a "pure" Rithmic connection.
RTrader is Rithmic's trading app. It can co-exist, or be stand-alone, with your existing trading app and has nothing to do with it. RTrader is not required to use Rithmic via NinjaTrader, or any other platform.
Ditto for what Big Mike said. It is my understanding zenfire runs the rithmic feed through its own servers. I found zenfire to be good most of the time but I started getting alot of disconnects. I switched to rithmic and it is much better it that regard.
