Hi, I am beginner of easylangauge, I want to create a strategy based on MACD siganl.
The signal will be generated based on the difference between current and previous MACDDiff.

i,e.

MyMACD = MACD( Close, FastLength, SlowLength );
MACDAvg = XAverage( MyMACD, MACDLength );
MACDDiff = MyMACD - MACDAvg ;

Condition 1 = MASCDiff > MASCDiff[1]
Condition 2 = MASCDiff < MASCDiff[1]

if condition 1 and other condition
then buy

if condition 2 and other condition
then sell

I am not sure whether I am on the right track because there is no signal generated.

Anyone help me ?

Energetic try this- you'll have to change the values and add your "Other condition", but it generates signals..

Inputs:FastLength(12),SlowLength(26),MacdLength(9);

vars:mymacd(0),macdAvg(0),MacdDiff(0);

MyMACD = MACD( Close, FastLength, SlowLength );
MACDAvg = XAverage( MyMACD, MACDLength );
MACDDiff = MyMACD - MACDAvg ;

Condition1 = MACDDiff > MACDDiff[1];
Condition2 = MACDDiff < MACDDiff[1];

if condition1 {and other condition}
then buy next bar at market;

if condition2 {and other condition}
then sell next bar at market;
