Hi,

I have just tried to use gateway instead of the tws program for use with ninja. My system is fully automatic and i switched to the gateway in order to never be forced to log of.

Just wondering will this work the same for me as TWS and will i run into any different problems? Can i now be logged in 365 days a year with no problems?

I didn't tried a full year, but their is not auto log off with IB Gateway.

I did work with IB Gateway for a full year and I did not had any problem. I was still in demo at the time, but when I started to trade live, I wanted to get a direct access to my account so I did return to TWS. Top keep my session alive,
I'm using TWSStart. This little free software, manage to restart TWS in the event of a malfunction or server downtime. This solution work flawlessly to.

Using latest IB Gateway 10.19.2 -> settting it to Restart it daily ... which works for a number of days, until a username / pass is required at some point.
Anyone here still using IB Gateway, or is it part of the last century?
