I've been using Better Renko (in Market Replay) but instantly as the order is
placed, I'm already down 2 or 3 ticks. If I immediately exit I've typically lost
$30.

Could this be a function of the Better Renko candles?

The 1 minute generic candles the trades execute zero, one or
two ticks off. Attachment shows a two tick difference.

Apparently this is normal?

I click on Buy Market (or Sell Market) using Chart Trader.
In Data Series price is based on LAST.
