Last Thursday March 8th i upraged to 7.0.1000.9 and i use IB TWS & Kinetick. Eversince i upgraded i noticed that NT stops all of a sudden and i have to shut the program down and restart and reconnect it to TWS& IB. I was trying to resolve the issue with support since the last three days without any luck. Finally Last Friday i was told that it could be my ISP issue
"We have identified a particular issue and are currently working to resolve this, but its essential feature is that when using an ISP provider that renews dynamic IP addresses while your computeris connected to Kinetick can result in the feed stopping. What occurs is the renewal by the ISP results in a new internal IP address being given to internet connected applications that results in theKinetick feed losing a streaming connection in this process. NinjaTrader does not recognize this as a loss of connection but the feed does stop, and thus disconnecting and reconnecting resolves theissue. I would like to know the nature of your ISP connection to determine precisely if this is the case because as you stated this process to disconnect and connect to resolve is not going to be along-term effective solution. We currently do have steps we can take as it relates to the ISP such as using a static IP address, or perhaps renewing at different times, but to resolve those items wewould want to contact the ISP."
If what they are saying is true, i have to switch to static IP from Dynamic IP and i can do that, but i really doubt that is the issue as this happened only after i upgraded to .09.Do anyone encountered similar issues.
Thanks for you help.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
"With the most current version of NinjaTrader we are seeing this issue occur when a loss of connection is reported: 2012-03-12 11:42:28:529 ERROR: Kinetick.Adapter.L1Worker: msg='': Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
This results in the feed showing an error and then giving an error message. Currently, you will want to disconnect and then reconnect to Kinetick when this occurs, but with this information wewill be able to identify the source of this issue and work to resolve it going forward.
To confirm it is the same based on the ISP renewal then please let us know if this occurs at similar times, but in reviewing the files this appears to be an issue with a legitimate lost connectionwhen the connection was not present and an issue with the Kinetick connection that we are working to resolve."
I Cannot trade with lost connection and hope this gets resolved soon. Any one having the same issue?
Yes i had NinjaTrader 64-bit NT 7.0.1000.9 with Kinetick and Interactive Brokers (TWS Build 921.5). I upgraded to NT7.0.1000.9 last Thursday and eversince i had problems of NT stopping right in the middle of my trading. For instance today since market ope until 2PM it stopped 4 times.
I never had any issues with NT 7.0.1000.8, so a few minutes back i switched back to its previous build and hopefully i wont be having issues tomorrow. I will work with NT 7.0.1000.9 later when i have some time.
I'm running NT ver 7.9 and IB TWS (ver is 922.6) and have frequent connection problems which is obviously very annoying. However, I've had similar problems with all versions of NT going back to 6.5. The problem (for me at least) is TWS, not NT, and my IP provider. Each one blames the other. TWS has frequent "data time out" issues which breaks my connection. I sent those logs to IB and they asked that I have my IP provider look in to it as they thought there was bandwith issues.
In the end, I've tried multiple fixes from both TWS and my IP provider. While my data connection to TWS is a little more stable it is still inconsistent and I am shopping for a new data vendor. Perhaps try TWS customer service and have them trouble shoot if your problem is not resolved.
