Here's a bigger picture perspective of this past week. It appears the market ran all the way up to the recent swing high and filled in (repaired) the incomplete top end of its range. Note the huge volume at the high for this week with a sell off overnight on Friday (today) and a close just in about the middle of this week's range.
I've noted certain things on the profiles that stood out for me. The profiles displayed consist of a TPO profile on the right side and a volume profile on the left to better see both sides of the story. The things that really stand out are like I said, the large volume at the week high and the incomplete (no excess) poor low. The market will often revisit these areas to repair them just as we did this week. Not sure what to expect next week with the holidays here but the market could run down there. I'll be on vacation but if anyone's around trading, by all means, have at it.
In any event, its always useful to understand what the big picture is telling you.
I havent been on the computer this week, and i wanted to post a few pics
Look at the daily. We are at the top of the channel, with the volume decreasing. The tpo chart is interesting.Todays value area was an inside day of yest, and yest value was an outside day of wed.I think that this really has to do with the fiscal cliff ,which is pending.
Looking at this,i have a short bias, but,as always, would wait for the developing rth to trade.
I expect to see big volatility next week, but, because there is so much at stake, would not be surprised either way what happens
some times i have limit orders sitting in the areas
some times i wait for the areas to get hit and develop and it hit the market
I wouldnt not concentrate too hard on my fills, more the areas i am trading
May be in the future i will just show the locations of my trades rather than the fills like PB
Hope you all had a good christmas
I just got back home
