I was thinking today about the founding members of futures.io (formerly BMT) - those who joined in June 2009 when the site was launched.
I took a look and those members who joined June 2009 and are still active (logged in recently). Their names are below -- and I wanted to thank them for their continued support over the years, and look forward to many more years to come... In fact, 92% of them are Elite Members (most of them probably back when it was $25 for Elite).
Thank you Mike for running such an efficient and safe forum. This is the only forum I'm an active member of. IMO....................there's not another forum on the web that even comes close to this one!!!
I think the reason why the retention rate is so high, is because this is by far the best trading site on the internet or anywhere else for that matter. This site is well run (thanks Mike) and has some of the best traders and mentors as members and teachers.
This is only only site that actually helps members and fellow traders, without expecting a thing in return or trying to sell them some system or software with unrealistic promises of untold wealth.
Well done Mike - You have been consistent since day one and provided the best trading forum in the world.
This is the reason why members stay and keep loyal to futures.io (formerly BMT).
I've noticed in life that many folk do not use a stop loss in everyday human isues. I've also noticed that Big Mike has a stop loss on this forum. That's what keeps it clean. I can trust the work posted here because I know Big Mike runs a clean ship. If anyone posts junk or rubbish, it hits the forum stop and is gone.
Proud to be a founder member.
Many thanks and a wonderful 2013 to Mike and his members.
Yes absolutely, futures.io (formerly BMT) is the best forum. Not trying to kiss arse, but it's really all due to Mike's vigilance in keeping people and things in line. It is a tough job to be strict enough to keep things generally peaceful, and yet not so strict that it stifles creative discussion. Other sites let the discussions and forums as a whole go to hell, whereas Mike actually keeps the house clean and running like a well-oiled machine. Kudos to Mike and anyone else who helps with the site maintenance that I'm not aware of.
thanks Mike, I haven't posted anything in a while, maybe i should be in a "where are they now?" thread! haven't done much trading since my wife got cancer last year, but I still watch and study, a few stock/options trades in my IRA, got caught up coding some institutional trading systems for a computational finance professor. right now i'm enjoying reading " The Ivy Portfolio" about the Yale and Harvard Endowments. especially interested in the benefit of trading inefficient markets vs. markets that are efficient or have too many participants in them. also still running the meetup. looking to make a comeback in 2013, some new ideas and systems I want to go live with, raising capital now, hoping to contribute some of my research to my elite journal.
