I do not use SierraCharts, but just want to contribute a chart that shows some of the VWAP lines from yesterday extended to today. I have not extended all lines, but just the VWAP itself and the 1SD-bands. The area between those bands can be considered as value area.
For further reference the indicator shows the VWAP over the prior 2 and prior 3 days, which shows me where the prior value was.
Someone asked if I could modify the modified version of FatTails anaCurrentDayVWAPv2.cs indicator which shows the VWAP and standard deviation bands. As before, the modification optionally shows the prior session standard deviation bands' closes as …
I like Tom's solution, but here is another that uses built in studies:
1) Create a chart with a date range that ends with yesterday's trade date. Plot VWAP as usual on this.
2) Create your primary chart and use the Study/Price Overlay , and reference the VWAP study in the other chart.
3) In the settings for Study/Price Overlay, set the option "Fill Blanks with last value" to Yes.
The only disadvantage is that you must manually update the end date at the end of every day, but it only takes about 5 seconds to do this if you don't mind.
There's now a better way to do this: ECIVWAP. This is user contributed custom study that comes with newer versions. It's native in SC, and does not require manual work at the end of the day.
I tried to use them the issue is it resets after x periods ... ( I set it to minutes and x period length and it resets every x periods) it's like your anchor. I emailed SC support without a response. I would like the value lines and vpoc setup like your channels along with the deviation lines.
