i'm currently testing a new real time data platform. it allows import of indicators using formula script (*.fml).

Questions:
(1) what format is this?
(2) how/where can i find more information on how to convert a script from metastock/ninjatrader indicators to this *.fml format?
(3) what other platforms that use this *.fml language? Can i copy the indicators from those platforms?
(4) any other info that i should be aware of

many thanks. db

I've never heard of it, but most platforms use proprietary scripting languages that are not compatible with other platforms. Easy language is about the only one that I know at least two platforms use, Tradestation and Multicharts.

It seems that an exotic charting package called WinTrend uses this script.

https://wintrend.com/Documentation/ScriptingLanguage.aspx

WinTrend can only be used with Interactive Brokers and DTN/IQ (not considering Yahoo).

None of the 20 well-known charting packages uses something similar to formula script.

You will probably not find any interesting indicators or strategies in this format, as it is virtually unknown.
