Hi,

I’m a just starting out on the (hopefully) life-long trading journey.

I was interested to hear which days / weeks of the year do you avoid? I’m in Sydney, Australia.

For example, this Thursday is a holiday so the markets are closed, I assume, most would avoid Friday with the early close and most would take a long weekend.

Also interested to hear what traders do over Christmas / New Year – avoid the last week of December and first week of January?

Any input would be most appreciated.

Tom

Hi Tom

There is a treshold of volume to consider (mostly on initial balance 30mins or 1h) to see if the day is ok to
step in and take a trade.
Find out - every instrument has different trigger volume - thus every instrument has to be treated differently.
As example - the Dax future needs to get >7.5K contracts after opening to jump into the hot water...
Try it - on the instrument you like to put your money on.
