this Pops up when I have a Statement looking like

If (MarketPosition <> 1) then Buy. . .

Same happens with .... next bar at EntryPrice

any advice on how to use those functions in Easy language?

you'd have to post the code that is giving you trouble. With the information you provided it's impossible to say what is going wrong there. The error code also is not one of the EasyLanguage verification errors.

My guess is you are trying to create a signal, but using an indicator and the full error message is something like:
"Position Information function not allowed in a study - Error#30237" error".
At least you are receiving any additional information besides the error code.

I got the same error today and landed on this page as well.

Realise this is a zombie thread but if anyone finds this in the future
The reason this happened is cause the user clicked on New "indicator" instead of new strategy
