There is an interesting platform out there called TradeVec. It's been in development for many years according to what info I found on the net, but is just very recently going public.
This is a brand new platform in an infant stage. There is only limited support for broker interfaces and data feeds. The learning curve usually takes several years, before such a platform takes off.
Sometimes I deliberately choose not to be a pioneer. Being a pioneer means that you are doing the work for those who follow your foot prints.
I will rather have a look at MultiCharts, as I believe that there is more value added.
I agree with you and am not considering the platform for daily use. However, I am looking it over to see what features are really cool to see if they could be useful on MultiCharts, and if so maybe convince programmers to start working on it.
Plus in the broader sense, competition is great! And I welcome a nice product like this that actually has a chance to gain some market share and attention to help stimulate the other major players to improve their product.
I am very much looking forward to helping the TradeVec team develop their newly launched platform/charting in the months ahead. This group has been brilliant in building up Cumulative Delta volume tools per my requests and I look forward to their platform with multi-feed capabilities. I am one of two prime beta testers at this time for their new Cumulative Delta candlesticks/tools (including a very nice custom HeikinAshi smoothed version), so I will keep you all informed of the progress. TradeVec is also moving full steam ahead with setting up full connectivity to DTN.IQ feed which is the premier feed for BID/ASK differential data work. In the next 4 to 6 weeks, the Cumulative Delta charting tools fed with DTN.IQ connectivity should be available to all TradeVec users.
My good trader friend Paul at Vcap Futures has helped the TradeVec team in their ongoing development work. Also, with traders like Mark Brown already fully on board using this platform/charting, I am looking forward to the expanding capabilities with TradeVec over time. In the months ahead, I myself will be shifting more of my own trading operations over to the TradeVec platform for all my "supply & demand" tracking based trading.
TradeVec has a well developed order entry Execution Zone layout which has combined some of the best features from other trade order entry matrix and DOM's. Also, their platform was specifically built to handle multiple feeds efficiently and that is very important to me for some of my trading systems. The overall platform is built for those who use C++ and in the months ahead traders will be able to do custom work once TradeVec makes that option available.
The next time Paul at Vcap Futures has a TradeVec informational webinar I will give you all a heads up so you can directly ask them any questions you have.
