Ninja strategy SWING trading - ALWAYS keep TWS and NT open ??

how do you guys do SWING trading,which needs to keep the positions open for weeks, months . I use NT and TWS, but even manually adjusting autoLogofftime, is still pain
and i can't shut down once in 5 days, as syncing positions even with "sync acct position=True" not easy

what is the solution with Ninja and TWS. thanks and appreciated

I find this frustrating as well. I use an imperfect solutions. Some points:

1) Yes, TWS and NT7 must always remain on when a trade is open, or a strategy is active

2) I use IBController. This will automatically push out the autoLogofftime so that you don't have to adjust it manually.

3) You still have to manually log off of TWS periodically, or it will destabilize, which gives unpredictable results. IB actually recommends a daily logoff to ensure maximum stability.

4) Regardless, I have not found a way to avoid the temporary loss of connection at midnight EST daily, but it always reconnects and there is not usually as much action at that time.
