My point is that I highly doubt a 20 minute delay is a NinjaTrader problem. Having experience with this, the likely culprit is that your internet connection can't handle the load and you start buffering data at the edge of the network. That's why I suggested disconnecting and reconnecting since that clears out the buffer and restarts the transmission of data.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
You still haven't said what charts you are loading, bar types, days loaded, etcetera.
Your profile says your favourite future is FDAX, for which there is bugger all data involved as a rule, even an old modem connection could handle it.
At the moment your problem will remain a puzzle, as there is insufficient information for us to be able to help you, we don't know what charts, datafeed, internet connection, any numbers from the Task Manager regarding the Ninjatrader process, etcetera.
Also is your internet connection reliable in general use? For example, run a simple Speedtest.net by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test or equivalent, you want to see a solid low Ping number and almost any amount of up/download is enough these days. I agree with Ray that at this stage it sounds like unreliable internet, unless you are downloading a weirdly large amount of historical data, but we really don't yet have enough information to diagnose the patient.
I currently signed up for the lifetime license and so far I am extremely disappointed in the product for futures trading. But the reason I wanted to reply is that I have the same problem with /ES being delayed on a 512 tick chart right now. It is currently stuck on 11:22 even though it is 12:23. I am using continuum for a connection and 1 day chart or 2 day, doesnt make a difference. I have also switched to a 144 tick chart, made no difference.
If I switch to /TF or /NQ, they are running just fine, up to date, and current. I am also running Think Or Swim with the same up to date expiration on /ES and 512 tick chart. TOS is current and up to date to the tick/time/price.
Clearly this is a Ninjatrader/Continuum data feed problem.
You can not blame my computer speed on this issue whatsoever, or my knowledge of chart use. If there is a setting somewhere that I did not input correctly, so be it, but a product should not be that hard to use.
If ES is delayed by an hour, that for sure is unacceptable and an issue that needs to be resolved. The fact that other instruments are not delayed is very odd to me. If you have not done so already, you should contact our support desk.

My job is to trade, not IT. Maintenance is fine, but this is brand new NinjaTrader 8. Who in the world likes to be in a trade to have it get stuck because I have to clear my cache?
Being it is brand new, there is very little to clear. But ok, no problem. Must be MY mistake.
That is about as ridiculous as anything I ever heard. Oh, hold on price action.... I have to clear my cache....
I doubt it has anything to do with clearing a cache, something else is going on. Our support team is ready and happy to help.

Trading can be a very unforgiving business.
If you trade in a prop shop, big bank or rent space on a trade floor with an IT staff they then can take care of these issues.
I own my own company, Lucrative Trader Inc., and it's just me. I have to do everything myself. Sure my wife is half owner but she is not involved other than that.
I'm sorry you are having these difficulties. Just last night one of my UPS, battery backups, died. I have four. Luckily Amazon to the rescue. I had to remake one of my workspaces his morning because a tick replay chart hung trying to reload data and the CPU stayed at 65%. I have a position on as well but it's in profit and that helps the situation for me.
Headaches abound in this and any other business. Rest assured you have a great community at FIO here to help. Just ask.
