I was hoping it would be similar to CME Futures, but not. The Bitmex fee structure is VERY high, and most of your profits will go back to them.

Good for them, but not so good for you.

I was willing to mitigate risks with an unregulated exchange (I don't live in the USA), but that would be only if the profit was flowing well.

I was using the SierraChart platform, which by the way is excellent.

Bitmex provided the interface to SierraChart and I encountered some serious problems.

Bitmex said the fix is in development.

It appears the Bitmex Web platform is solid.

So, if anyone is going to use SierraChart in the near term, they should also have the Bitmex web interface up, because you can fix any errors there, if the Bitmex/SierraChart interface breaks.

In the end I'm hoping that CME will provide Futures for the cryptos, so that everything is standard, etc.

There are rumors that the CBOE may have Bitcoin Futures. This, of course, requires CFTC approval.

Honestly, it sounds like a terrible idea. Please see my "what replaces bitcoin" for concept into "trading programmable price stream" TPPS virtual trading concept for idealized trading system. There is no reason to want to trade a virtual currency on an exchange where you would be subject to exchange fees.
