Hello everyone, I am a small trader currently focused on trading a single stock - MU.

I am planning on trading MU for the next year to build my account, and to become highly competent trading the L2.

When I started my IB account, I opened it under my corporation, which unknown to me has charged me pro-fees for the last several months. I do not plan on changing ownership of my brokerage account for tax purposes, however I do not currently manage money.

I opened another IB account today, this time personal with non-pro fees. All I need is NASDAQ Totalview, AMEX, NYSE, and NYMEX, so I am planning on getting the data feed through my personal account, and executing through my corporation account.

I need to however wrap it all together in a single charting platform, one that is low-cost or preferably free. If there is any software that also has a data feed at non-pro pricing, I am open to going that route and linking my corporation broker account to it.

What is the best course of action? It would be HIGHLY appreciated.

Thanks,
futureboy.

First at all, you don't pay this data-fees for charting, you pay it for order-routing (of course you will use it for charting as well).

If you have an account where you have to pay pro-fees, it will not help you to open another account where you have to pay non-pro fees and route the orders from this account to the account where you have to pay pro-fees, this isn't possible and has nothing to do with a trading-platform (this are rules from the exchanges).

Hey T8er, I meant that I would would use the non-pro account for market data subscriptions at non-pro pricing, and then I would do order entry on my pro account. Thank you for the reply and help!

what subscriptions are you wanting to buy would be the real question, are you talking data?

Yes, NASDAQ Totalview, AMEX, NYSE, and NYMEX. These are the only ones I need to fill the order book on MU.

I can get these through non-pro for $18USD whereas my pro account charges me $150USD.
