hi SAR,
i also asked me that yet - why 2 diff names - its confusing sometimes - it made me some troubles yet.

i know that :

- the upper GUI-display-name is the name that is shown in the indicator-window if you insert an indicatoor in the chart.

- the second one - public class - is the name the indicator is listed / saved as .cs-code-file-name

- the GUI-name is not forced to have - so if you have only the public-class name - this name is also shown as the indicator-name in the indicator-window.

- you can outcomment the GUI-display name in the code

so maybe its for the possiblity to name an indicator in the indicators-window with another name then in the code-section.

lol - sound a bit maybe - but i cant explain it better

I agree with Max,

To make sure I can find the files with the saved filename, I always comment out with "//" the GUI.Display.DesignName line in the code. The Name line in the initialize section would need to be commented out also.

imho,

kz

Thanks

So there 's no real difference between "Name" and Gui.Display. They both display as the indicators' chart name.
