Hi Guys, Im fairly new to Nt8 and was figuring out, on how to use input the below custom ATM strategy settings into Nt8 as below:

TP1: Take 1/4 profit @ 1:1
Move Stop loss to breakeven

TP2: Take 1/2 profit
Move Stop loss to TP1 value

Tp3: Take 3/4 profit
Move Stop loss to TP2 value

Tp4: Take 100% profit
Move Stop loss to TP3 value

I cant seem to figure the correct settings for tick based charts, so any help to create a custom ATM setting for the above would be great.

This is the closest thing I was able to create.
Mixing auto breakeven and auto trail
16 ticks/step.
Copy and Paste into \NinjaTrader 8\templates\AtmStrategy

This is great.

I didnt see a folder call ATMStrategy, so I created that under \NinjaTrader 8\templates\, restarted NT8, and I dont see this custom strategy under ATM strategy under chart trader.

Let me know what I am doing wrong.

Found the folder, it was under C:\Users\%username%\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates\AtmStrategy

Tested this strategy, for some reason it doesn't do what I am looking for:

The ATM settings are this from the XML file:

4 Orders
TP1: 16
SL: 16

TP2: 24
SL: 16

TP3: 32
SL: 16

TP4: 64
SL: 16

If 1 point is 100% profit (i.e 4 ticks), shouldn't the TP1 be 1, TP2: 2, TP3: 3 etc?

I am new to ticks, so maybe I am interpreting it totally wrong.

Tested this strategy, for some reason it doesn't do what I am looking for: cut I am new to ticks, so maybe I am interpreting it totally wrong.

Test it with MNQ in simulated data connection or on a sim account. Right click on price axis, properties, select
horizontal grid type: tick
horizontal grid values: 10

Try:
- 10 seconds chart
- 100 ticks chart

If you edit the ATM strategy, check to make sure the Parameter type = Ticks
