Inspired by my time in Felton Trading live trading room, this ind. is a multi selectable MA(BMCollectiveMAv2, EMA, EMADouble, TEMA, EMAZeroLag, HATEMAZeroLag, TEMAZeroLag, HMA, HoltEMA, JMA, LinReg, SMA, TMA, TSF, VWMA, WMA) with colored offset bands. The distance is based on either ATR, Range, or Tick. Besides being pretty, this ind. when properly "matched" to the instrument it gives a good indication of direction change. Obviously, no guarantee for how long. When the MA turns up it changes blue, and changes red when down. The upper & lower limit band prices are accessible in a strategy.
Version 2: Added more MAs as listed above. Can now access MA value. Added some extra options. Upper & Lower plots change color to match shading, when not set to Transparent.
I have NT 7.0.1000.2. I tested my PC and made sure there was no compile error on either indicator or strategy before I import your indicator. JMA, SMA and SUM are already existing on my PC before imort; and, I said no to overwrite those .cs. However I kept receiving Import Error message several times on the process trying to import your indicator. Help. TIA
Have a look at your log or at your trace file please. You will find it under Own Documents -> NinjaTrader 7 -> trace.
What is the error message you can see there?
My suspicion: The indicator contains two data structures of type enum. If such a data structure is already defined elsewhere with an identical name, the import will fail.
I had no problem importing the file. This also points to a conflict with an existing indicator.
Thanks for pointing that out. I found several similar ind. I think them mail difference between them all is how the outer bands are calculated. I saw the other ind. include other MA's, so I will add those other MA's to my ind. at some point.
fusion,
I suspect it's the JMA ind. Attach your log file, so we can take a look.
Thank you for taking concern on my report. The attachment of Log of 30January2011 did not show anything regarding Import Error while I was trying to import your indicator again after NT7 connected. I also checked Trace file of NT7 on My Document, no message showing Import Errorat all. TIA
I tried to import the indicator again, I still got the Import Error message. Please check the Trace File screen shot of NT7. It did has something to do with JMA. TIA
