I am trying to port the Traders Dynamic Index over to TOS. I want to be able to use this indicator to assess stocks, not just futures in NinjaTrader.
I have completed most of the work myself, but it's "sloppy" (see Attachments), and I'm hoping one of you good folks could help me clean up the code. Then we can post it to the forum for anyone to use. This is a FREE code directly from Dean Malone at Compassfx(dot)com. It's actually a very useful indicator.
It's supposed to use BollingerBands, but I can't code it right. They really don't need to be included, because I have the SMA and 50 Midline already set. I have the RSI set to black on a black background, so I only use the Stochastics and SMA. The ADX was included for 'fun'.
You might also want to look at TOS's "Relative Momentum Index" to replace the Stochastics. It's a very smoothed indicator that functions like the RSI. (Just a thought).
I'm happy to pay for the adjustments you make. I know it won't take long.
Thank you very much for any help you're willing to provide!

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Yes, it would be very cool if you could post your changes to the indicator. Thank you for offering!
I found another code for the TDI (for TOS) on the net, but I forgot to log where I found it.
Attached is the code and a picture of the results of the modifications I made. First of all, the code was messed up and I don't know how to fix it. So I removed the Bollinger Bands and color-coded the rest. The way it is now, it's very simple and I'm finding it more useful than both the Stochastics and the CCI. I use the TTMsqueeze and the Stochastic Momentum Index with it. Both are found in TOS.
The most useful part about it (for me), is that it will tell you when a move is going to end by reaching the "overbought" and "oversold" lines. It's very responsive and fast. I color-coded the Stochastic Momentum Index with values of 8 and 3, instead of 3 and 5, and I color-coded the TTMsqueeze (18) along with them, so they are all BLUE or RED at the same time. This has been very helpful to me, along with FIBS. The TTMsqueeze has the Bollinger Bands inside of the Keltner Channel feature. It's much easier to use that indicator, rather than having the clutter of all of the lines on the TDI. I have modified the TTMsqueeze also to make it very clear when the squeeze happens. It you want that code ... I'll submit it too.
Anyway, the code and a screen shot of the indicator is posted below. The YELLOW dashed line is the %D of the Stochastics. I don't know how to plot the RSI, even though it's part of the code.
It's really a useful indicator, especially when it's color-coded to reflect the Stochastic crossovers.
If you have suggestions, please do submit them.
And thank you very much for your help with this!

FOLLOW-UP: I changed the "def RSI" to "plot RSI", and now it has the RSI indicator showing. Then I colored the %D line to black. Still no Bollinger Bands though.
