I know you wanted to get this out of the "new framework" thread, which is fine, but that thread, although it's really meant for work on the new FIO version, has often been used in the past to report a bug in the current framework directly to Mike, since he is closely involved with it. Another thread that is sometimes used for this is the "change log" thread, which I couldn't remember at the time.
There's no real FIO "bug report" thread established by @Big Mike for that purpose, so these have had that role from time to time. (A bug report thread not started by Mike would be futile, since you want the message to get to him . ) I think of the new framework thread as more of a bug thread, since we used it for that when testing the new changes. Also, since Mike is on vacation, and is not currently monitoring every post, it is more likely he will pick it up there eventually than in a new thread in a different location.
Just an explanation of the original choice of where to put it. It was not really a mistake.
But thanks for reposting here. Perhaps there will be others who see it and respond, although it does split the topic now. I still suggest the original location, but that's just me. No worries either way .
