I believe the answer to both your questions is "no". You could try using candles instead of bars and eliminate any coloring, but that's probably the best you could hope for. I've found no way to alter the looks of any of the axis text (color or font)
If you are asking about Ninja Trader, you can drag the bottom screen to the left side (where the time elapsed is shown on the chart) and it should make your bars thicker?
Changing the color of price, right click on chart, select properties, then change the color of price. It should work.
I notice you posted in the ThinkOrSwim section of the forum, while our name information in the box on the left says your platform is Sierra Chart, causing some confusion, perhaps, for people who want to respond. Since you didn't say, it could be either, or something else.
It's always a good idea, even when you post in a section that identifies the platform you use, to actually say what platform you are asking the question for. It helps people to help you.
So, what platform?
Bob.

ThinkorSwim! I thought posting in the ToS section would have been clear enough, but apparently not. Why would anyone think I was asking about NinjaTrader? IDK!
I have an account with TD Ameritrade so I thought I would see if the ToS platform was up to par.
The probable reason that anyone would think you meant NinjaTrader is simply that people naturally make assumptions based on what they are familiar with, so in the absence of anything otherwise, they will answer that way. It's human nature.
To be clear, I mean you no criticism. I have years of experience -- unfortunately -- in finding out that I was not clear enough when I posted something on this forum that I thought was simple and clear, only to find out that it wasn't to everyone. It's just how the written word is interpreted on the internet when people quickly read it. We have to be clear to specify what we mean, even more clear sometimes than we think we should have to be.
In fact, I was getting ready to explain how to do that in Sierra Chart, based on the fact that in your name block you say your platform is Sierra Chart:
But then I saw the TOS subforum and said, "Wait, this is probably about TOS," as indeed it was.
(By the way, you can change the Platform that is listed in this block, if you like, in your User Control Panel, or include both if you wish. Not a requirement, just another thing to help others understand you.)
I have used TOS, many long years ago now, and I would be very surprised if it didn't allow you to make those changes. I recall it as a very capable platform. I just don't remember much about it now, so I can't help you with it. I'm sure someone can, and will.
Bob.

Edit: also, most people probably find new posts in the new post list in the chat box area of the main page, or by clicking on the "New Posts" tab in the top strip of the main page, and just go to the post directly without ever even seeing the section of the forum it's in. That's what I do, anyway. Out of habit I do try to remember to check the section, but I don't always. So it is very natural for someone to not even know you posted in "ThinkOrSwim", because they never looked.

Well,
IF you "widen" out your time axis so fewer bars/candles are viewed, they Open/Close tags appear to get longer, but the bar itself doesn't get any bolder. See the attached image to see how the bars on the right hand chart appear to have wider open/close tags.
I can understand now when people, me included, select "New Posts", they won't know what sub forum the post is in unless they look. That makes perfect sense to be more clear in the post.
