Hi everyone,

first of all thank you for all the highly valuable information you share. I've been reading for a week now several threads and topics before I decided to join this forum. The friendly dealing with each other and really trying to help no matter if beginner or pro is what makes this forum unique!

I started trading 4 years ago. In year 1 I read all books on price action and TA I could find and traded on sim. In year 2 I joined an educational programm of an Austrian asset management company. They were really small, kind of a startup, about 1-2 Million € in management. I stayed there until summer 2018 as an intern of their trading team. The trading system was based on price action on the daily and hourly chart. Futures were traded on 10 minute charts and the DOM was used additionally to TA.

Last summer I left the company, I stopped making progress so I decided to go on my own again. In the last 3 years I traded mostly stocks with TA and Fundamentals combined on the daily and hourly chart but eventually figured out this trading style does not fit to my personality and is rather investing than trading. I'm focussing on futures and Index-CFD's now on the 5 min chart, which I already started years ago but never followed it seriously.

I'm really looking forward to join this forum and to become a member of this community.

Hello everyone! New trader here as I just started a few months ago and I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I trade futures (NQ, ES, CL) and since I have experience coding, I like developing/modifying indicators (NinjaTrader 8). Great resources on this forum, so I look forward to the interactions.

Greetings from Curitiba, Brazil. I trade since 2007, the first 10 years trying hard to trade stocks and options on Brazilian market, sometimes had good results many other times not. I was using basically technical analysys of all sorts at that time, and never had consistent gains. One of the reasons is that I like to daytrade, but as I trade from my job place, in a telecom operator (I'm an telecom engineer) and this is not the ideal scenario, both for trading and for working. Well, by the end of 2017 I started to look for something different for me and I started to look at the futures markets in Brazil. And finnally I started to trade the Futures contracts for US Dollar related to Brazilian Real, it's one of the higher markets in Brazil, for this I stopped using all of that technical analysys that didn't worked at all for me and started to learn how to trade reading the tape, using Order Flow. I attend to a course with one of the best trading educators in Brazil on Order Flow to future markets, it improved my trading, but not yet where I wished to stay. Because the markets run the same hours that my job, I couldn't had the focus that is needed for trading. So in the middle of 2018 some changes happened in the company I worked, and I left my 18 years job. Now I'm only focused on trading, I finished a course about the US futures markets and planning to soon start to trade on it. In reality I'm already trading it on demo account, but of course it is different to trade a real account, but I will go there. So I'm here to share ideas and experiences with you guys.

good trades for all

I am looking for examples of futures trading plan. I have been spending more time reading about trading in general.

Hi all

I am glad to be part of this great forum and like the resources all bundled here. I basically like Wyckoff style of trading. I was actually quite interested in MBoxWave Wyckoff Trading System | Exploit Supply & Demand ...
https://mboxwave.com/. However that was expensive tool for me to have now. So came across this site and like it.

I hope to have trading setup that shows Swing volume and Swing delta volume kind of indicator for now. I am trying out Weiss wave volume and others here.. I have been trading stock options for a while but However I am currently trying to get funded thru topsteptrader. That's about me.

Thanks Mike. Happy new Year to all!

Regards
Charles

Hello everyone,
I join you on this forum not to postpone again what I should have to do a few years ago, start trading Futures;
time goes so fast, days so short.
At the moment I am looking for more information and advice rather on the logistics side of trading, feeds, brokers, fees.
I did a lot of research but I think not exhaustive and it is good to know the different opinions.
I will try to participate as well as possible with my knowledge, theoretical for the moment.
Thank's everyone.

Hi, I started with stocks and had made a good amount, but started futures and lost almost everything. The rules are so completely different!

For starters, I'd like to learn:

-How to make alerts for price drops/gains.
-How to make a data feed of prices to an outside program (kind of an art project - I want to make music with the data.)

I'm an intermediate programmer (I have some experience in Java, Pascal, and Basic.)

I assume Ninja Trader would be a good fit for me, hearing what the other have to say.

Thanks Mike for the great site!
