Same problem here.
CL been tiny range (less than 100 ticks) these past 2 days... I do poorly in small range environment so I think I need to choose the time wisely. Maybe I should quit after getting my first winner of the day (assuming no loser before that) yet again, how do we know beforehand it will be a boring low range day?

Another useless day for me with little volatility.

Total loss for today -$83,20.

similar Rithmic issue here, although i'm using SC's connection model to Rithmic and not the Rithmic platform itself.

i don't like Rithmic; it is buggy and slower than other feeds like CQG or TT but i asked ryan but he said helios has no plans to add support for other data feeds anytime soon.

Hey you have the same problem as me too, amazing! I tried all - using rithmic, finamark and sierra and could not connect to rithmic server!

I was told by NT support that CQG Continuum data feed is slightly filtered/aggregated and Rithmic is not. But you are saying Rithmic is laggy?

If the overnight is slow and no breakouts on the open, more likely will be slow whole day.

my understanding is CQG is not aggregated but it is filtered in real-time to fix inaccurate ticks in order to provide accurate bid/ask volume data. that's why using volume-based studies like volume profile, cumulative delta, etc. will be accurate with CQG but not TT, which is faster than CQG but comes at a sacrifice regarding accuracy because it's completely unfiltered.

rithmic without a doubt has been slower for me than cqg; the worst is when it stutters and lags behind the actual price by 1-3 seconds during high volume periods although it's rare. i think this is noticed more by me because i'm located in asia and CQG has data centers in asia whereas Rithmic does not.

@canoekoh, Rithmic has data servers here - Tokyo, Singapore, etc but like I've said, I tried those and it does not help at all when connection issues problem so I thought it was ISP related yet i have overseas friends complaining too?

A delayed update since i took some time off, with some bad news ...

I have exceeded the maximum draw down limit of 10%.
Not really sure where to begin, i haven't had any decent trade, except for 1.

I came to the realization that the trading system i was using here only works in high volatility and ranging markets with fast movements, like we had in January and early February. Slow ranging day's and slow trending day's like we have had a lot lately in the NQ just completely wreck the system. Clearly it has some potential but only if i manage to trade during the day's in which the conditions are optimal, maybe even by switching between different instruments when they are the most volatile.

Anyway, i am going to keep looking into it since the Gauntlet returns where to nice to just give up on it, but for now it will be demo only.

It's ok. This is the learning phase and moves on. At least you did not lose live money except the fee and the time.

The time always teaches you important lessons.

Chin up!

sorry to hear; we've all been through this...

do you think added pressure when trading live, or maintaining a public journal contributed to losing streaks recently?
