I've been watching the videos on youtube and was wondering if anybody has purchased the e-book. Is it worth it over the videos that are freely available or in addition to the Al Brooks books? It doesn't seem too expensive but I'd rather not spend the money if I don't need to.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I think it is worth every penny...Can make the cost of the ebook back the day after you buy it...Easy to read and hard to believe something so simple works so good.
MCRENT, thanks for the feedback. The website doesn't give a lot of detail about what's included in the book. Can you provide a little more detail? Thanks
I actually haven't found anything else online about it (besides the youtube videos). It would be really nice if we could get some feedback from MCRENT.
Not much info about whats in the system.. Like I said in the 1st reply.. Its a pretty simple system.. only 1 Moving average and tendlines.. just like the videos you been watching... Its only a 100 bucks... There is enough info in there that you can IF you read the whole ebook to make your 100 bucks back the next day or at least before your credit car bill comes if you study and follow the rules.. The guy is only charging 100 bucks for something others charge many times more and offers you a money back if not making money.. You can tell by the videos he is just a good ole boy and not a snake oil salesman IMHO...I think it was worth the 100 dollars and thats all I can say.. Just like any system.. do you homework before trading live money. If you dont like my response email the guy.. I have sent a couple emails and get a reply the next morning both times...
I would say your description is pretty much spot on. Bought the book and read it, it's fairly short. His plan is fairly well laid out in the videos but the book isn't terrible for $100. As a visual learner I find the videos very helpful but if you need something spelled out for you the book explains the system in a much more concise way rather than trying to piece together a number of his videos.
The book mainly covers what he calls second entries in a 2-legged pullback (I believe this is similar to Brook's H1/H2 and L1/L2 setups but I'm still reading that book), trading channels, really stresses never count-trend trading, traps (people who fell for a breakout of a double top only to have it go 1/2 ticks higher and fail back into the double top range causing a cascade of buys or sells), identifying trends and ranges. A lot of what is covered is basic trading rules, don't move stops, use the correct size and profit targets. He also employs a scalp and run strategy.
Overall, I'd say it's decent if you are relatively new to price action and/or trading. If you've already read and mastered Al Brooks you probably won't get too much more from it except maybe a different perspective and order management.
Personally I plan on reading this another time or two and continuing with the archive of videos. I think this will give me a pretty good base to continue with Brooks.
