Hi all - I'm curious to hear from any other futures.io (formerly BMT) users who have a practice or combine account using Ninjatrader. I've been using NT with TST for a couple weeks and I've been experiencing problems consistently with what I will call "ghost" orders.
Several times a day while I'm trading I will try to cancel an order and the order will not cancel. After I cancel an order (usually a limit order, sometimes part of an ATM), when this problem occurs, the order will not cancel and shows up as "pending" in my control center and shows up in my DOM although it is has a slightly different color scheme than an active working order. These ghost orders will not go away unless I disconnect from my datafeed and reconnect. On at least one occasion I have seen these orders get filled but most of the time the market will trade through them and no fill will occur.
I did not experience this in the 18 months prior trading with NT using velocity and TT for data and then AMP and cqg for data. The practice (and I believe combine too) accounts at TST use rhythmic servers for data (the live trading goes through zenfire).
I wanted to post this thread to see if anyone else using NT with TST is experiencing the same problems or anything similar. NT support has looked at this and they feel its a problem with the data server.
thanks in advance for any comments, feedback.

@Surly:
I also have a TST Practice Account since last week and I experienced exactly the same problems, especially when using ATM Strategies. I contacted TST Support yesterday, and they sent me the following answer:
'The internet service provider’s are having issues with the paper environment. Network engineers are working to re route the connections through different servers. This is an issue beyond TopstepTrader, it is a larger network issue due to the storm in NYC.'
I did not take a trade on my TST Account today, so I can't say whether or not that problem has been solved now, but at the moment I feel quite uncomfortable taking a combine if I have to expect such issues...
Thanks! I know they had some specific problems during Sandy with folks not being able to log in yesterday and Tuesday. However, the problem I'm describing is different - also, I've been experiencing it for a full week before Sandy caused any problems. Will be curious to see if anyone else is experiencing this problem....
I spoke with a guy at zenfire who said all demo accts go through rhythmic servers in NYC and they had problems due to sandy. He also said they were trying to move the demo account/rhythmic servers to Chicago. I guess if they did that it might make a difference in latency and perhaps solve this problem.

DT, have you used their T4 platform? It is fast - only thing I don't like is that you cannot use chart trader with in NT - otherwise I like their DOM better than NT's DOM (based on functionality and speed).

@Surly:
No, I've never tried the T4 platform, I wanted to use NT7 since I'm very familiar and comfortable with the software.
It works very stable and I never experienced any issue with NT and Zen-Fire during the last 2 years.
And since I don't use the DOM, this would be no advantage for me.
So, I don't want to use another platform (which again includes some time for the learning curve to get used to it), but just focus on my trading...
This morning was the final straw for me. I love NT and have never had problems with it and will likely continue to use it for charting but I can no longer trade with it in TST's combine, etc. Everyday I have problems with execution, ghost orders, data issues, and log in issues. Nothing at all against NT, not sure who's to blame and honestly everyone is likely working hard to find a solution and I don't really care to know where the fault lies. At this point I just want a stable execution platform and NT is not it with the data servers TST has partnered with (rhythmic/zenfire).
Bummer.
