I know someone who said he got a 50% refund from his credit card company after he was banned from the Algobox discord room. This was after owning Algobox for more than 6 months.
Just going based on what he said. I have no proof but it might be worth a shot.
Apparently unrestricted access to discord is or at least was part of the product being sold.
I did attempt this and the CC card company stated too much time had passed. I think I'll try one more time has litigation is just not worth it for the dollar amount involved.
Vinny has a more elaborate customer aquisition funnel and does put in work. For example, here's one of his other youtube accounts where he posts almost daily videos "exposing" other fake trading gurus. I can easily see how this channel builds rapport with new users and then funnels into algobox
I'm fully aware of his various accounts and methods. I'm doing my best to take the high road and refrain from saying anything stupid. What I can say is I've lost all respect for this man. Not only from my personal experiences with him saying one thing then doing another but he also downgrades and mocks traders whom in my opinion are legends such as Larry Williams and WD Gann.
Like these guys I started futures trading when we didn't have computer programs and did our charts by hand marking the OHLC bar for the day and adjusting the moving averages, etc. We had to call in our orders then the fax machine became available. Back then the cost of a round turn in fees and commissions was substantially more than it is today. Ask yourself, how do you think someone like Vinny would fair in the markets in those days? There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance.
I embraced computers early on back when DOS was it. Ironically most of my trading success today comes from the knowledge gained from the old days and I still use it every day I trade, especially Gann's methods. I didn't purchase AlgoBox for help with my trading. I truly thought Vinny was the kind of guy that I could work with and collaborate on putting my knowledge and the methods into a Ninja Trader set of add-ons or incorporate within AlgoBox. I discussed a splinter of it with him and he mocked it. He will now never know as he will surely not undertake the years of study to understand and gain the hands-on knowledge required. Ce la Vie!
Back when I had brain damage and was a member, I did a quick search for “Larry Williams” in the discord. Almost every mention of him was calling him a scammer.
Do Algobox customers not know that “Vinny’s” ultimate OBOS indicator is simply Larry William’s ULTIMATE OSCILLATOR with basic divergence plots added to it? Call him a scammer and use his tool on their charst every day.
The reason why Vinny and his crew of lemmings call Larry Williams a scammer is because Vinny claims the “Inner Circle Trader” Michael Huddleston is a scam artist (he very well might be). Michael Huddleston claims Larry Williams was HIS mentor, so Larry Williams is a scammer by association . The name “Inner Circle Trader” comes from a Larry Williams mentorship back in the day called “The Inner Circle.”
Calling everyone a scammer is just a crappy marketing technique to convert fresh eyeballs. Nobody gives a flying F about vinny’s livestreams or anything else he says from what I can tell. Literally, his live streams get maybe 50 viewers or so, and his actual videos maybe get a few thousand views. He thought buying a YouTube channel would fix it?
Patrick Weiland gets maybe 2k+ to his streams every day. Trade Brigade also streams every morning and has maybe 1k viewers or more.
Well rremoved, that explains it! I had brain damage. I didn't know that the OBOS was a knock-off of Larry's. However, I didn't get to spend much screen time with AlgoBox. I did come to realize early on that the majority if not all of his stuff was a spin on existing indicators.
He even knocked Futures.io for not letting him in to play. He went so far as to say that "someone" must be getting a kickback from Peter with Jigsaw as they were in. During my first telephone conversation with Vinny, I mentioned that Mike Schartz was how I found AlgoBox and due to his review, I made the purchase. The next thing out of his mouth was, "I'll make sure he gets the referral compensation." MMMM, kettle = black.
Between the belittling of some of the traders in the room, the constant ranting about ICT and the people that threatened physical harm to him and his family I wouldn't go into his Discord channel after the first week. Come on man, this is business! Then the lightbulb went on. I'm dealing with a Narcissist and as time progressed this was confirmed.
Even through the repeated support sessions it was, "you need to buy the enigma pack for another $700", which I said no too each time. The last support session he added it and said give it a try. Right after he was done, and it was "fixed" I went into sim and gave it a run. it lost money on every trade even with 20/30 tick targets and then NT8 locked up within an hour or so. During the last few emails requesting a full refund he spun it with; "Did you know that I can invest your money and get you your money back plus an additional profit." What a piece of work! No, no way and you are absolutely not getting even a wooden nickel from me.
What chaps me the most is he is supposedly a god fearing, church going man. His parent company is named Ecclesiastes Global Investments reflecting his religious beliefs. Well maybe he should have attended the First Tee program where kids are taught to do the right thing even when no one is looking as apparently his religion hasn't taught him the basics of honesty, integrity and morals. Frankly the trading industry has quite a few snakes in the grass.
