The stringency index is a composite measure based on nine response indicators including school closures, workplace closures, and travel bans,
rescaled to a value from 0 to 100 (100 = strictest). If policies vary at the subnational level, the index shows the response level of the strictest subregion.

Can we trust our eyes? This optical illusion proves once again that not everything is as it seems at first glance. Because in this black and white circle, there are some digits - but how many?
Everyone will probably be able to recognize one digit - the one in the middle. Depending on how well you can perceive contrasts, however, there is more to the picture. Our contrast sensitivity is not only extremely useful for deciphering such optical illusions, but also helps us to recognize our surroundings in situations with low light, fog and glare. This is especially useful when driving at night, for example. But what if contrast sensitivity is limited? This can have various causes, such as the eye disease cataract, glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy.
The solution
But even if you could only make out three digits, you obviously still belong to the intersection. Many Twitter users tried their hand at the optical illusion and came up with the most varied results.
