NinjaTrader Brokerage was a long-term IB for both Dorman and Phillip. Then NT created its own FCM, named NinjaTrader Clearing, and the NT accounts were transferred over from either Dorman or Phillip to the new company.

I moved to S5 Trading from AMP and can see that the Teton feed / order routing is indeed faster and more robust than CQG proved to be.
Pretty happy with it. Highly recommend. I do not use indicators other than volume profile (Volume by Price) in Sierra Charts. So I have zero lag ever.
I also have a lifetime license for NinjaTrader. I have not used NT 7 or 8 in many years; just never really got into it as it never measured up to Sierra Charts IMHO.
Also NT compared to Tradovate: there is no comparison. Tradovate handily bests NT; yes I know NT bought out Tradovate and Infinity as well. Top Step provides TSTrader platform which is Tradovate.
No they are not. Dorman is a partnered FCM with Sierra with teton order routing. So my setup is Sierra Denali Datafeed (PAckage 12 with MBO) and Teton order routing (no cost). My fees besides the SC platform and Data feed are as follows: CME Exchange 2.60/RT, Dorman Commission/ RT 1.00.
Fast as lightening. You can get a faster platform than SC due to the way it's built. All C++ which provides maximum flexibility in what you do with it custom wise. It's highly memory efficient all the way around.
The Sierra Chart needs some learning first, but it's definitely worth it, even if it takes time.
Many people have dropped out at first glance, which is a great waste.
In particular, the lightness and functionality of the software is not found on other platforms.
So far as a broker who offers and supports Sierra/ Teton I am very pleased.
Clients reporting good speed and did not have any downtime or issues in the 3 months since we started.
Sierra as a charting platform always been one of my favorites, i feel it offers excellent value for the $$ and I am quite impressed with the execution abilities and flexibility.
We offer set up via 3 diff. FCMs and assist clients setting up the connection via remote assist if needed.
One more nice thing is that currently sierra does not charge the per side transaction fee like rithmic or CQG in the form of 0.1 per side so helps reduce trading costs.

@CannonTrading, good to see a broker's perspective on this after three months of live usage. Real-world reliability data matters more than spec sheets.
The fee structure point is worth highlighting for anyone weighing sierra chart vs ninjatrader. That $0.10/side adds up fast -- a trader doing 20 round turns a day is looking at $4/day or roughly $80/month just in connectivity fees. Over a year that's nearly $1,000 that stays in your account with Teton.
Both platforms have real strengths depending on what you prioritize:
Sierra Chart -- Known for raw performance, lean C++ architecture, and built-in volume profile, market profile, and footprint charts. Traders who need speed and low overhead tend to land here.
NinjaTrader -- Large ecosystem, strong community support, and C# is far more accessible than C++ for traders building custom indicators or strategies. The third-party add-on marketplace is massive.
The right platform really comes down to what you trade and how you trade. Some traders run both -- SC for execution and NT for strategy development. No wrong answer here, just different tools for different jobs.
For anyone still on the fence about ninjatrader vs sierra chart, the existing Sierra vs Ninja thread here on NexusFi has 213+ replies worth reading through. Lots of real-world experience from both camps.
TGIF! Have a good weekend!
