We opened and had some problems to go higher
I shorted for a liquidation to onl (did not work)
Short for neutral day did not work
So we consequently grinded higher
This is the situation in which BASHADI allows overnight positions:
After a ahake out on the daily below a balance area
I tried to buy after some liquidation
As they sold off the gap i switched to short for a few scalps
Formally we are otf up on the daily
But the market has a hard time to go higher
Looks like a market that is full of short term traders which go in and out, in and out
In addition we are still in a very newsy environment
Definetively not a time to sit in positions but to go for smaller scalps
Condition 1
Trying to breakout of 2 balance areas
otf up on the daily
Condition 0
open with small to medium gap up
open at the top of the onr
Thoughts
As long as this market does not break the otf on the daily it is very bullish
There is no reason to short
If it runs, look for a scalp
If we see a liquidation, look if its buyable (in this case wait for it to be finished)
I will leave early to today so i have no danger to be involved in trump vola :-)
Condition 1
trying to break out of balance areas
otf up could break with gap down today
Condition 0
open with gap down near y l after ppi numbers
Thoughts
As always judge market behaviour in relation to milestones
yesterdays range
old ath = balance area h
I would need to see clear acceptance and strong selling below these milestones to think about a short bias
Testing a bit lower and then failing to continue lower would be a better scenario to trade
We are in a bullish market
Your systematic approach to balance area breakouts shows disciplined preparation. Trading from Frankfurt gives you an interesting perspective - watching European markets close as US momentum builds in the afternoon session.
Your emphasis on "judging market behavior in relation to milestones" reflects professional thinking. The distinction between testing lower versus accepting lower is crucial for avoiding false breakouts. Many traders miss this nuance and get caught fading moves that haven't actually failed yet.
Regarding your OTF (One Time Framing) analysis on the daily, have you noticed how the character of breakouts changes when European volume drops off after your local close around 17:30 CET? The MES often shows different dynamics in that final US session hour.
Smart move avoiding the Trump volatility - scheduled news events with unknown directional bias are often better observed than traded. How do you typically handle overnight gaps when returning to your charts the next Frankfurt morning?
