My name is Troy and starting around the pandemic I focused my time and energy into trading. I've jumped around a lot since a couple years ago, refining strategies and trying new things. I'm currently most interested in creating NT8 strategies, which brought me deep into the crevices of FIO. This forum has been a place I've found myself on here and there over the years, but finally now I see how much valuable content is here. Glad to be here!
hi, i am from india... i have been trading crude oil and natural gas since last 5 months and i have made decent profits with consistency, now i want to trade US futures like micro nasdaq, e-mini dow and micro WTI crude bcoz of very low intraday margins but i dont know how due to the rules and regulations of our government.
im here to find a solution to the issue. i hope i would find an indian trader who trades US derivatives. @xplorer @Big Mike
I found your forum when searching for ES vs. SPY correlations.
Some posts here kind of answered my question, so I'd like to join and learn more about future trading.
Thank you for the vast amount of info about trading in general.
Hello everyone,
I'm really glad I came across this community. I've been trading for several years but I decided in May of this year to solely focus on the e-mini futures. Results so far have been mixed, but the more I learn the more I believe I can make a consistant profit at this. Two things I've learned are that risk management is vital and you have to be able to separate your trades from your P & L. I'm having problems with the second one.
Can someone explain how to apply a market analyzer template to priceactionswing indicator by dorchen. I am a novice to all this coding and need some help trying to get chart results of this indicator to show up in the market analyzer of NT8
Hi, my name is Neal. I have been trading stocks, futures, and crypto since 2008. When I first started to trade I definitely made a lot of mistakes but met some great people along my journey that have helped me develop a strategy that I still use to this day. I joined this community to find more likeminded individuals and to share ideas.
In the last few years, covid years lol, I started to dive into coding (I was a computer science major in college) and coded my first futures algorithm. I'm looking to dive further into automation and away from human interaction (aka emotions) while trading. Hoping to find others interested in this as well.
Hi, my name is Cools.,
I trade the ES futures contract.
Living in Australia I trade the US closing session which in winter here, its 3:30am starts. Getting use to it.
I have studied for the last 8-10 years solid all day, everyday. Many demos valuing markets, using COT/News fundamentals, using volume, delta imbalance, using this and that to trade auctions. So many variables.
NOW I trade naked charts. IMO as good as volume, deltas are they are just as useless/distracting as fundamentals are ; re day trading.
I, with a good friend somewhat mastered OIL valuing (crack, usd, risk, calendars, yields etc etc) and was just starting to enjoy Europe trading (5/7pm here) when... COVID hit. After that CL May contract going negative, brokers made trading oil futures full time virtually impossible.
So then I moved to the very liquid ES. Trying to value that was harder and in the end I gave up trying to.
After all these years I am just very grateful to have found early and to have been educated by Ray at compassfx. (after some useless indicator systems of course). I dont think anyone else is close to him in terms of understanding liquidity in the markets. His lessons on auctions/liquidity are second to none. Highly recommend if you are needing guidance.
Would love to chat to other day traders trading ES.
