you select align letters and it all gets messed up with the previous TPO profiles.
Letters are never visible unless you zoom in so much that you lose the perspective.
In the second picture you can observe that if you "shrink" the chart on the x axis the profiles overlaps toghether, basically the software developers didn't even take into account that this should not happen. How naive is that? consider that you need to pay 45 USD per month to have the market profile.
I am really fed up with this platform, they always release new version in which they improve nothing. The only improvement they make is on small details, but major problems never get fixed.
If you sent an email they answer after 2 days at least and they don't even understand your question.
I am surprised as i have read that the new platform EdgeProx from EdgeClear is based on MotiveWave. I am sure, they would not invest in it if it was not that good. But i may be misinformed about it. I took this info from this thread:
This is a good deal, you basically get Motivewave orderflow (not sure if they have added anything) package for $35 a month vs 55 straight from the vendor. Plus you get a good broker and great customer support.
The product is not bad, it's stable. Compared to tradestation is very stable.
But you cannot release a new version every ten days and leave problems unsolved.
I cannot understand what the developers work on everyday.
I've been using Motivewave for about 6 months and it is now my daily driver. I like a lot about it, but I am not a volume profile trader. of course we all want something different, but I like it.
I should mention that I had been a long-term Sierra Chart user, and love that platform, but the "crazy" over there drove me away.
do you also get the "TIME OVER" message? I get it all the time and I can't understand if this is due to problems with how motivewave interface with Rithmic.
If I have a position with more than one contract and some OCO orders, if I hit the "flatten" button I get an error saying "timeout", and the position doesn't get flattened. It only cancels the OCO but it does not flat my position. So whenever I am in this situation I have to first cancel all order and then flatten.
With the reverse button it's even worse.
I don't use TPO, I prefer the VP, but doesn't TPO has a setting considering the width of the TPO ? Probably the boxes have a minimum width size.
Have you tried posting it on their forums ?
About the 45USD, motivewave does several 25% and 30% discounts through the year. Next one should be in summer/july. Also considering the option to buy lifetime in those discount times, it is great value.
The rest of the rant actually is uncalled for. You must think that a big platform is easy to maintain and that every change doesn't need to undergo several rigorous testing.
As a programmer, its not like we snap our fingers, drag and drop pictures and a platform is made.
I conected Motivewave with Tradestation but the DOM was not showing prices(level 2 data), I know Tradestation provides that data because it works with Tradingview.
I added Rithmic data trial and price showed up on DOM but I am unable to execute trades(it says this is untradable ticker?). I was attempting to trade MESM1 micro mini ES.
