Looks like the last post on this was about a year ago. I recently did a webinar and initial consultation with Steve and was wondering if anyone had any updates on his service. Did the consultations help? Were the effects lasting? Overall impressions? Any input would be very much appreciated before I make the decision to hire him.

thanks,

I have worked with Steve a lot. My last session with him was ~1 month ago.
I have had many sessions. My results have been life changing in all areas.
To get results you have to have an open mind and trust the process.
If you have a big ego don't bother would be my suggestion.

Thanks Welly for your input. My gut feel was that Steve was the real deal, just trying to get some other input. My initial consult with him was nothing short of amazing.

Thanks again,

This thread hasn't had a post in 3 1/2 years, but has anyone else tried going to Steve ?

If so, would you recommend?

If so, would you please comment on your experience and results. Is it worth the cost?
Thanks.

I engaged Steve for several months at the beginning of last year which provided plenty of benefits for me, both personally and for my trading. In answering your question, "Is it worth the cost?", I can't speak for all of his customers, but for me, yes it was definitely worth the cost.

The process was not cheap. If you haven't already started working with Steve, but you plan to do so, I highly recommend putting lots of time and effort into the preliminary work ... this investment in time will pay off once you start with Steve. In fact, after that phase, it is Steve that does the heavy lifting from then on.

I don't know if Steve still offers it, but you could take up the free intro session.

Finally, I suggest that you take a look at the historic posts in this NexusFi thread because there are some good comments to help you.

Go well.

Hi Wavecat,

Have you hired Steve Ira ? If you do, please share your experiences. Since you are a master level, I'd like to hear your input. I'm considering to use him seriously even though I'm also currently researching n reviewing on other psychologists and mentors who can help psychologically on trading, including Mark Douglas' wife, Paula Webb. Thanks so much in advance.

Sincerely,

Ted

Hi Ted,

I have not hired Steve Era as he is very expensive and wants all the money upfront. He does not accept payments per session basis. It may run into thousands of dollars which you will have to pay in advance.

Thanks,

@Hemmo,

Good to hear. The prep work before sessions seems to be the common thread -- people who actually do it get more out of it, go figure.

For anyone still looking into Steve -- he focuses on the emotional triggers behind bad trades (revenge trading, FOMO entries, breaking your own rules). He tries to get at where those impulses actually come from rather than just telling you to be more disciplined. Pretty sure the first session has a money-back guarantee.

On cost -- it's not cheap. But if you're blowing up even a couple trades a month on ES or CL because of head stuff, do the math on what that's costing you vs what coaching runs. Check your own journal.

See if Steve still does the free intro Hemmo mentioned. Plenty of history in this thread from other traders who've used him.
