Hi guys I here to learn how to trade, I have learnt about indicators and other stuff but what I am missing is a good strategy now.
if anyone can help me I will be most thankful
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Hi guys,
I've been interested in trading for a few years now and a little more than a year and a half ago I became interested in day trading.
I was working full time in the beginning. I learned about indicators and though it was the holy grail of trading. I had become pretty bored at work so I started to trade live during my work hours. In the course of a few months I lost a lot of money! But it provided me with something to do during the day that was more interesting and motivating than my actual job.
A year ago I finally quit my job. I couldn't stand it anymore, a close family member became very ill and one of my close friend got cancer, so I came back to my hometown. I took a break to reevaluate my goals in life. It was then that I started to really want to learn how to trade. Still, for the better part of last year and until recently, I was completely focused on indicators and automation. I didn't want to deal with the psychology side of trading; I was afraid of fear.
A few months ago I got a new job at a startup that I felt I couldn't pass up. I don't have much time to trade now but I've decided completely change the way I look at trading. I ditched the indicators, the automation and started to learn to control my emotions and to read price action. I'm only doing sim trading now, but I still feel stress and fear when managing a trade. In light of this, I know that my psychology still needs a lot of work.
Anyway, nice to meet you all! And Big Mike, thanks for this forum and all the time you put into it. It is awesome!
Been trading for a number of years, intraday mostly during the European/US session. Trading futures although I do some cash fx. I do mostly financial futures (bonds & indicies) using price only.
Looking forward to see how others here do things.
Hi Mike
Thanks for the Site, I have been trading for a few years and like most other traders blew up my account, and I have spent way too much on education!!! But I guess it's part of the learning curve. Happy Trading Everyone

Hi I am a quant beginning to trade using Ninja trader. I am learning how to use it. Could anyone there advise me a webinar on how to write and plot and symbol by code, for instance if the high price is 3 times the high price of 3 periods back then draw a line in the current high and set a counter to 1. This is a basic idea but I need to know how to manage the ninjatrader graphics from the code to go further. Any help?
Recently I have been making trades using the TTM indicators of John Carter, and Swami charts impluse indicator. When they all line up I take the trade.
I only trade high volume stocks under $30.
Mostly only hold the trade for a couple of minutes to a few hours. Every once in a while I will hold as a swing trade for up to a week, depending on the strength of the company. I normally make two or three trades a week. So far the indicator has been consistantly profitable.
Anyone else have any positive results from this indicator or any other.
I am looking forward to chatting with you all and learning new stuff. The Big Mike forum looks great and chock full o information, so I will be searching the threads and hopefully I can make a meaningful and lasting contribution in future.
