I hope that today was the day that cured me of thinking on some trades that I can go without stops or just trade my way out of a bad situation. Only cost me having the tides turn against me by $650 early morning, but luckily I was able to finally start going with the market and trade my way out of it. I must have been a salmon in a prior lifetime as I always feel the urge to go against the trend in the market when going with the trend makes so much more sense.
Weird... I just noticed that my SIM trading was reported in reverse, but with the right numbers. My position SIM was
Actually I just realized I didn't have yesterdays SIM Trading included in todays figures. First time I ran over two days.
Head still a bit sore from the work out today.
Some days were meant to stay in bed. Today was one of them. One of my worst trading days cash money in over a year today. Just two quick mistakes and change of thought. I am realizing that it does not take much to derail the train, but I need to realize when it is derailed and quit right away. Will be working this weekend to see what I can do to get my head screwed back on right. First problem started today when my first order was instantly closed because NT7 failed to put my stops away from the entry even though I have 20 TICK and 20 TICK offset for the initial Stop and Target. The market was above where I wanted to enter so I used a Limit BUY order for only one contract. As soon as it executed it was closed one second later, and so started my day. Using STOP orders above and below gave me no problem, just the buy from below. I'm still waiting on NinjaTrader to get back to me on that one as I seem to remember having that happen before. I took a picture of both my ATM and my Trade tickets along with sending in my logs so hopefully this will get chased to ground. HERE IS WHERE I WAS FOOLING MYSELF. I THOUGHT I WAS CALM, evidently I was not.
Had to get car fixed right after trading. That and chop day had me a tad distracted.
Tomorrow will be nice. Crazy thing is I had the break of trend, but spotted late.
I didn't even get my video edited so there is going to be a long long chop go nowhere video day ... Don't know if anyone would want to watch as there were no trades. I'll watch later, but actually time to close up shop for the day.
