I haven't forgot guys. I'm just dealing with several priorities, and also contending with being under the weather. I'll try again tomorrow to finish the polls.
Cast your votes below for the futures.io (formerly BMT) July Journal contest.
You can locate each users journal by reading through this thread and following their posted link.
Please read my rules from post #1 for what the minimum requires of the contest were, and then use your discretion to decide if the member met the requirements or deserves your vote. I am letting each member interpret those rules as they see fit.
IMPORTANT: When evaluating your winner, please remember to only consider posts made within the July time frame. This contest was for July only.
If there are any ties I will cast the final vote. I have final say in all decisions.
Voting will end on Saturday, August 15th and I will follow-up shortly thereafter with the winners. The voting is private, you will not be able to see the poll results during the poll voting period.
The names I've entered on the poll options are directly from this thread as per the rule in post #1. If your name is missing, did you post in this thread with a link to your journal?
I only posted in the thread to show someone how to post a clickable link to their journal; I didn't mean for it to register me for the contest.
I didn't do much posting in July anyway, and didn't intend to enter this year. If I got a vote it might affect someone else's results who would otherwise get the vote, and I wouldn't want that.
This poll software is crap. If I modify the poll, it will be reset entirely. So you'll have to stay on, but I can disregard any votes for you in the final result as you wish.
Link Summary, made it in order of original posting. Hopefully make it a bit easier to review journals, probably help to be re-ordered in poll order however this took long enough
Also a little bit frustrating as non elite members can not view those who posted under the elite journal section.
I decided to share some YM trades here as I believe it helps to keep on the right track to consistent results. After some loses and long time struggle my day trading account fell under $1,500 I decided to do my trading as simple as possible. The only …
I have been a coder by profession since the late 80's. Never quite created that "killer app" to make me my millions.
Giving it a go now in NinjaTrader.
Purpose of this journal: To improve my trading by collating my trades, charts, trade ideas, and trade thoughts into a one-stop-shop for easy review and recording of progress.
Instruments: Various and evolving. Currently CL, GC, NG, ES, NQ
Here is my trading journal for the month of July - and maybe beyond.
I trade FX and mostly do it on the 4 hour chart using mostly NinjaTrader. I also have an EA that I run on an MT4 account. For charting I will primarily use TradingView, which, …
Big Mike's July Journal contest has motivated me to start a journal again. I have learned a lot from Jim Dalton and Julia over last year+ and I am looking forward to apply the teachings to my live trading.
I have to keep this short as I must head back to work but I will give a brief overview of what I am trying to accomplish and hopefully, as I take my first stab at this online journal, I can improve my trading as well as help someone …
Hey thanks for stopping by. This is my old journal. Turned out to be more about my life in general. Nothing wrong with that, kinda, but not much in the way of taking trades. I still post here all the time but just about me and things I'm doing, what's …
Identifying value is the key to my trading. I use price and volume profile for this purpose. All setups that form based on a strategy as not equal - Market Context determines the probability of any particular setup. Market Internals is another key …
I'm new to futures.io (formerly BMT) and only recently found out about what this forum has to offer. It has a wealth of content and experience which is great.
My strategy is quite simple. It tries to capture signals based on a particular point …
Welcome to my Howiestrading journal as part of Big Mikes journal challenge.
I am learning to trade the ES using price action trading techniques as taught by Mack and Al Brooks. There is no doubt that studying your trading is the best way to learn. …
Positives: In the morning I resisted temptation to go long before the 21 ma.
I took a layered trade on a sudden up move expecting a retrace and made a profit.
We are looking to short EUR/USD at the 4hour 200sma and resistance target. Will be paying close attention at this zone and looking for good market profile entries (will update with market profile analysis if the target comes in play). I think this is …
To make myself accountable and to hear feedback from those who have the experience to give constructive feedback. As I am in Australia, trading the ES and in this session is not something a lot of people here do.
Hi guys,
Im quite new in options trading (started in jan), but not new in trading futures (7years as a future spreads trader).
I think that im a good strategist but I am unable to focus for long periods thats why i decided to look for other methods …
