Thanks for all the info you share! I will be more then happy to assist you all too.

I came to Big Mike's looking for something specific (a Price Action Swing indicator) and have already spent too much time just poking around. This is really an incredible resource. I missed this place all these years by being too narrowly focused on MultiChart's own forum.
I have been trading futures for 7 years and finally quit my software product management day job four years ago today. I started using a automated swing trading system developed by another fellow, but when his system kept throwing nothing but shorts into the teeth of the massive up market, I pulled the plug. I also found that I wasn't sleeping very well when in positions overnight / weekends.
For the past three years I have done nothing but day trade TF using several different algorithms that I developed on the MultiCharts platform. I've done fairly well, but my current method could benefit greatly from the addition of a good swing plotter. I came here to see if anybody has pursued a MultiCharts version of Dorschden's NinjaTrader Price Action Swing indicator. I didn't find anything on the MC thread and I'm still reading through the main thread on that topic. Only about 90 pages to go!
I look forward to absorbing the incredible amount of community knowledge on this site and contributing if I can.
I am a 3 years proprietary trader in Brazil running mostly equities daytrade strategies.
My main technology to optimize is prolog, I am colocated at stock exchange facilities and using Fix protocol directly with stock exchange with my own platform, I want to learn more about automated trading and found futures.io (formerly BMT) forum interesting.
I'm a Brazilian Home Broker with +/- 4 years experience, trading only at BOVESPA, a Brazilian Stock Exchange like Dow Jones. I'm now mostly interested in getting Forex experience in order to have more flexibility.
Hi.
I'm from South Africa.
I have bought and sold (mostly held) a few stocks on my local exchange for some time (opened broker account in 2003).
More recently in late 2013 I opened an international account.
I've made some really dumb purchases (read opinion piece, think the author is spot on, dive in and BAM! stock tanks.
The I started paying more attention to the "comments" sections which followed opinion pieces and probably learned more from those than the articles themselves.
Instead of obscure stocks I started buying more "recognized" tickers and am doing better with those.
I "played" briefly with the broker's built-in technical analysis suggestions; some worked, some didn't. Subsequently changed brokers so haven't done much along those lines in a while.
Then something got me started on options. I've had mixed success; some very good successes in the beginning which made me a bit too bold and ended up giving back pretty much all (maybe more) of the gains.
Started looking for suggestions on how I could do better which led me to various websites of people punting their products; while searching for a review of one of those I ended up on a thread here!
I'm hoping to learn a lot here. I may read more than I post; bear with me if I do post some (possibly stoopid) newbie questions!

Hi All! Dipping my toes into the "Rise of the Machine" world with the wonderful programming community here. Looking forward to getting to know the community and learning more about bot/algo development.
I've a wandering soul so to say when it comes to traveling and where I'm located at any given moment. Been trading a macro discretionary strategy for about 3.5 years now.
I found this site while looking to hedge on some commodity production that I am engaged in and take some speculative positions. I have been trading equities through a discount broker here in Canada. Now I am trying to figure out how to go about trading commodities and limiting my currency risk exposure.
I am a new member to the forum. Not new to trading as I have been in the markets since 1995. I want to say thank you to Mike &
all the members for having me onboard. I do have one question if I might ask. Has anyone ever heard of, or purchase a product by Bruce Kenison called Market Timing Home Study Course 5th addition. I hope I am not out of line asking this question & if I am I stand corrected.
Oh, by the way I did not pick the name Nostradamus because I can see into the future, but I just find him to have been an interesting person.
FT71 and MBT's youtube interviews brought me to the site, I have been tinkering for years between forex, equities and derivatives.
Within the last year I have decided to make this my career. So I am here to be a sponge! Yes I have blown up several accounts and have gotten better and stronger from each of those experiences.
Great to have you. Unfortunately, I am well behind you in my learning curve. Have only been at trading a few months, but I'm loving it. This is by far the best site I have found where traders gather and share their experiences. Most are very willing to help others, even newbies like me!
