I am new to trading and to this forum. The basics are I am 30 years old and I quite a great job after ten years of working there and I have no intention of ever working for the man again. I have a respectable amount of cap to invest and wish to try my hand in trading. The goal is to first trade well, second earn enough to cover life expenses and third earn enough to grow the portfolio for a retirement nest egg.
I have traded on basic principles and LUCK so far and have done ok but not well enough to achieve my above listed goals. With that said I purchased several books on trading, read info online and have joined this forum with the hopes of learning how to take money from the market consistently.
Most of what I have pulled from the internet so far is bull$h!t and reminds me of some used car salesman in a cheap checkered suit trying to sell me a lemon at a great price but I have to act now. (Off on a Tangent)
I hope that this forum is and can be used as a resource for my growth as a trader.
Hello, I feel like no one ever reads these posts, but I'll participate anyway just to lay the groundwork for my journey into trading futures. My best bud got me interested in day trading emini s&p 500 futures. He has been using NinjaTrader with the free simulation and has somehow managed to make over 15k per month, starting with just $1,000. He has been doing this for about 3 months now but doesn't have the cash to play with real money. I happen to have the cash, so I downloaded ninjatrader and made over 5k in my first 2 weeks, but I started over with a new trial code and have already lost half of the 1k I'm starting with. Anyway, I stumbled across futures.io while googling thedaytradingacademy course. I'm in the middle of reading about it and wanted to see some photos, so I had to register. I figure, I might as well check out the resources here and get some knowledge before I put down the real money and lose it all. I didn't even know the answer to the "are you a real human" question during registration. haha, I had to google it. Anyway, that's all.
P.S. Why can't I use Mike in my username? That really threw me off! So now I'm Michael. I feel so grown up!
This forum is truly outstanding in terms of the depth of information and also how friendly members interact with each other.
Thank you Big Mike for setting up and maintaining this place!
Got interested in stocks trading in general. Red some books about Darvas, Trading in the zone, High Performance Trading,
How to Make the Stock Market Make Money for You, The Disciplined Trader and a few others. That made me realize that the act of trading is mostly a mental attitude toward it. So at 1st I got myself a web service with 10 min. delay charts to paper-trade. Been doing that since august this year and managed to make a bit over 200 k from 10 k in paper. I have a simple strategy and rules and do all my charting manually on a screen. So to speed up my charting I got interested in NinjaTarder 7 program and that's how I end up here. Beginning of the next year I want to go live. Thank for letting me to join all of you here and I hope that one day I would be able to contribute to this site of knowledge.
I am Zemlic, real name is Martin 31 years old. I have come across trading during my MSc education and completely got in love with it. I am new to trading and have zero experience so I have decided to write my final thesis on testing of technical analysis as to learn something useful during that painful process.
I have undertaken a few webinars which is mainly focusing on Fibbo, DMA, MACD, Price Action and Market Profile. Bought lots of book and read a few but haven't even started demo account as of yet. I am getting used to Ninja Trader, which brought me to this forum and I must say I really like it.
My goal is to learn trading mainly Brent, WTI and add Forex little bit later.
Looking forward to learn a lot at first and to contribute to this forum in the future, once I get up to speed and have something meaningful to share.
