I started on the floor of the CME in 1992, started trading in 1996, and lost my feel for the markets a few years ago when the algos took over so I quit. "If you can't beat em, join em" so I learned how to program algos through visual programming and do that for a living now.
I followed a link to this forum about an online class I was/am teaching, wanted to post a thank you to the commenters, and so here I am.
I wanted to join because of the absolute straight-talk I saw by the forum members, whose assessments of the class were not just pertinent and accurate, but entirely no-nonsense and fair. I love when there's no hidden agenda or angle. I get great advice on forums about my car, so why not my career?
Apparently I can't reply to that thread because I've never posted before, so here ends my 1st...

Trading, speculation, and investing has been a hobby of mine for a long time, became hooked with books by Larry Williams, and Market Wizards.
I am always looking to learn more and become more proficient at Trading with learning more knowledge and more importantly, harmonizing and implementing my own inner "way" so to speak.
Glad to be here, I trade part time, hold down a full time job in the Medical Field.
Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been lurking around the forums for a while and appreciate the solid content by many of the members here. Like many new traders I blew up my first account by over trading, emotions, not following trading plan/rules. I am making a return and will be paper trading for a bit , then will dip in using only 1 contract. Thanks,
Been trading stocks for a while but wanting to trade futures more now. Seems like a lot of traders here and a lot of good discussions. Hoping to learn some nuggets.
i am a designer working full time but dedicating all my spare time to trading. been trading for around one year now and have managed to triple my account but aim to build an account that will allow me to leave my job and work as a freelancer.
Hello,
I have been registered for a while at futures.io but have never written a thread. I would like to say Hello and thank you for your acceptance. I just started with Ninjatrader and am looking to network with scripters that can help in automating the supertrend process.
I have been trading lightly with TOS but have gotten to like Ninjatrader as soon as I got the chance to configure it how I like it. Hopefully this site will assist in this advancement. I find that TOS is very buggy and stalls at times, which is not good at all when your in the middle of a trade. It also hogs up resources.
