Just came on board. I am new to forums and still consider myself a beginner trader.
Finally have decided to take the day trading seriously and am concentrating on the emini futures. Using HVN, support and resistance while taking in the internals of tick and advanced/decline line I am improving my trading. I look forward to learning from others and in turn, hope to eventually help others too. Thanks!
I don't do much talking, so I will just say that I am a beginer trader and have not as of yet made any money trading binary options. So i would greatly appreciate anyones' help with training materials.
In my opinion - and this is just my opinion with nothing to back it up - binary options is a scam and not even worth wasting time or money. I've never traded them, but from what I've heard it is excruciatingly difficult to withdraw your money once you've given it to the "broker." With so much opportunity in futures, stocks, options, forex, etc... my personal thought is that you shouldn't even look at binary options. Anybody have other thoughts or experiences?
New to this form, or any form to that matter. Have been working/trading/educating myself on technical trading for five years now. Lost my account many times, chalk that up to education fees.
I have been at Apex futures the whole time and I am now used to their charts. I have two I can use(if I could only use them). a 1 tick momentum bar chart with bid and ask volume, along with a 500 volume bar chart with bid and ask volume.
Thinkorswim doesn't have either of these charts, and I am so pissed and someone or somebody, or my computer, platform, internet, software I just can't be sure which. Now for the last two years I have been ready to again START TRADING, BUT MY CHART CAN'T KEEP UP WITH THE dom. AND EVEN THE DOM STUTERS. sorry for the caps.
I,ve now had the internet CO. here 6 times,(300MB download, & 32 up) New I-7 4790k intel, 16Gig ram, 250SSD evo, navidia gtx750, etc...
3 computer techs, that can't find a problem, Microsoft store can't find a problem, apex futures says its them, they say its them others guys etc. Windows 10 pro, which I hate Microsoft always stealing info infront of what I am doing, and I paid for all of this stuff.
Anyway, you could now call me frustrated Trader DaveK.
Oh, PS I trade only the ES-mini S&P500 every day for the last 5 years.
Thanks to Big Mike for the welcome! I have been learning how to trade on/off for past couple of years as time permits. Reading books, learning order types, types of trading, indicator paralysis to no end, etc.
I would classify myself as perhaps what you call stage 2. I have traded live probably 50-60 times without really having a clue. Mainly I would poke and hope on a inverse head and shoulders or break of a flag. Swing trading stocks is what I am focusing on, but longer term position trading may be a better fit for my schedule but perhaps not my personality. I would like to ask 2 questions.
1. Is this the place to be for what I want to do? (swing/position trade stocks) If it is, can someone tell me where to start?
2. I want to trade stocks so would the elite membership be beneficial to me? I know nothing about futures trading.
I'm Simon from Dublin, Ireland and I have been obsessed with trading for at least 10 years now.
My journey started with burning an account. Following that I went into price action, then into harmonic patterns and Elliott wave. I feel like have come full circle in my journey, dabbled in all pieces of the pie, mainly discretionary. More recently, I completed a Trading Diploma course which reinvigorated my passion here in Dublin.
I'm a full-time Software Developer during the day and have over the years attempted automating trading strategies. I was particularly great at curve fitting, mainly due to the fact that I did not know how to build and test correctly. I also believed strategies needed to very complex for them to be successful and I searched for the "holy grail". I got frustrated and turned away numerous times with no success.
In 2016, I took automated trading very seriously and that is were I have focused by effort.
I finished Kevin Daveys book and decided to join the forum.
