I have been trading Index options full time for the last 3 years and have been profitable enough to quit my full time job. However, like many I spent 10+ years losing money before I became unemotional in my trading and learned good money management skills. But it was certainly a long and painful process. I am looking forward to learning how to day trade using futures and add that to my skill set
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I am a new trader and mainly sim trade at this time. A little about me and what I do. I currently run two companies. One is very time and labor intense and the other not so much. I am a hard worker and don't mind spending the time and effort required to learn how to trade, although I can not trade full time as of yet. It would be my goal to transition out of the time consuming company and trade full time within six months to a year. So, I am here to learn.
I have seen this site while searching for knowledge a few times and decided to join today. I am strictly a technical trader and looking to learn a lot more. Trying to separate money from emotions.
already trading more than 3 years but still not consistently making money. Now currently in SIM in order to stabilize my trading. Hoping to get some valuable information here in order to work on my consistency and discipline. Looking forward to get in contact with you guys!

I have been trading on a part-time basis for four years and am developing my craft. Like most people I have learnt from some of my mistakes - and find new mistakes instead. Looking forward to learning and developing/improving my win/lose ratio.
I recently joined so thought I'd introduce myself.
I recently became consistently profitable in FX and also trade commodities. I've grown a weird passion for commodities for some reason so tend to be heading down that road at the moment.
I'm a swing/value trader and tend to hold my positions for a few days, maybe a week or two. Currently learning more of the fundamental side as I want to catch those big runners.
Got tipped off about this site by someone on another forum. Looking forward to some good chats!
I am a new trader looking to go after this as full time as possible as soon as possible. I've been paper trading pretty intensively for the past couple of months and yeah blew up accounts, but that's the whole point of trading with paper money first right? anyhoo my quest to learn as much as possible about this and to learn how to trade successfully on any day in any kind of market has led me here.
So While still being wet behind the ears I've learned enough of the jargon to be dangerous to myself, and enough to begin to be dangerous to my own wallet if I were so foolish as to go live online right now. I'm gonna be asking all of you all kinds of annoying and bothersome questions about stop placement and profit target ATM's and how to fine tune darn near every indicator and guage under the sun I'm sure, so I can have a reliable, reasonably consistent work day where I come in make a dozen or so trades through the day and walk away with a decent daily predictable result from my careful and prudent efforts.
I'm using the Ninja trader 7 platform and have a reasonably fast computer with 3, 27 inch monitors. Currently I'm accessing the markets through the Topstep Trader combines to challenge the program for a funded account. in my first couple of days of trading on NT7 I forgot to keep the super DOMs set to sim101 and blew up my account so I'll have to revisit that after I've done some pretty intensive trading college here with you guys.
