My name is Mike, I use trade index futures like DAX, DOWJ, SP... I was looking for a forum where I could improve my trading skills and networking. I think Futures.io may meet all these requirements and I hope I can help other mates as well.
I'm pretty much in the same position as Mike above (I'm also yet another Mike). I'm (mostly) self taught, intrigued by the markets in general and futures and options specifically. I've spend and likely will never stop reading and studying everything I can get my hands on from email lists to academic papers on SSRN.
I'm a hardwired DIY'er, I learn best by doing and while I would never subscribe to a "daily trade" service, I'll also never turn down good advice or pass on the opportunity to consider other views.
I've traded lots of stock options over the past couple years and a dangled my toe in the futures markets, mainly trading RUT. I try to keep things simple as it tends to work. I see potential in commodities futures options which is how I stumbled on futures.io. Hopefully I'll be able to ramp up more quickly pouring over all of the content here.
Hey Y'all,
New to the forum... I've been studying markets on and off for a couple years now, finally started day trading live in the last few months, futures CL YM GC mostly. I haven't been unprofitable, but very inconsistent, which I attribute to psychological lack of confidence and overall clarity with regard to market outlook. I hope to improve risk management as well as develop a better pre-market plan of action with the help those of you who have already tread this path. I look forward to doing that with the support of everyone here. Thanks
Mine story is similar to that of everyone who is beginner in Trading future markets. Blew up my account couple of times, still struggling to become a consistent trader with grit & perseverance.

Buonasera Guido,
if you're accustomed to energy markets, why not trading the liquid CL contract? You maybe know the pulse of crude pricing already. Should give you a point of departure.
Ciao,
