I started trading in April 2020 selling options and been trying to learn how to day trade futures. In Dec 2020, I started sim trading and journaling. I spend most of my time looking at my charts and analyse price action. I am not very active on the web but it has been a lonely journey and would like to meet other traders here.
Main method, trading /ES:
Price action - Al Brooks, the Strat, Volume Profile
Chart timeframe - 60 minutes, 5 minutes, 2000 tick
Active trading hours - US RTH session, trying to avoid trading past 12pm EST as it's getting into the sleepy hours here in Australia
R:R - risk 2 to 5 points, TP 2 to 10 points
Routine(in EST):
5am - Review yesterday and do the homework for today
9am - Trader bites time
930am to 12pm - Focus time
12pm to 4pm - Observe the market, journal trades, take trade if I see great set up
Goal:
Build positive habits to be a consistent trader
Get funded
I have been searching for "my" trade in the futures world for 20 years. Blown out a couple of accounts and finally getting serious about this. On my latest quest, I am looking more at Fib reading using renko bars.
Im a beginner to intermediate trader , ive been a position trader for 8 years and intraday for 4 months and only started trading profitably on few trades recently. Very keen to explore various algo softwares and i trade in stocks only at the moment. Hope the experiences i have had will help others and vice versa.
I stumbled across this place by accident, but it looked like a pretty solid hangout, so I decided to stick around.
I've been trading on and off since I was 18. Since I did not have much disposable income at the time, I ended up blowing up a few hundred dollar accounts between then and late 2019. Now that I can properly fund and maintain a solid account, I've regained my interest in the market and want to devote my time to studying it to the best of my ability.
My trading "career" transitioned from penny stocks to option contracts. I am planning on sticking to option contracts for the foreseeable future until I have a large enough account to be able to trade futures without overleveraging myself.
I hope to be able to learn enough to become consistently successful at trading and eventually able to help others on here in the distant future!
This is the first trading forum I've joined. I've been trading futures for (counts fingers) 5 days now! I'm a completely beginner trading but I hope to improve that and become consistent. As of right now, I'm focused on trading ES and MES to get used to trading. I've been journaling my progress and so far to see how my journey goes.
Hello, I am Jürgen. I've had NinjaTrader since January and am new to futures trading. I came across this forum while looking for help. Unfortunately, the system failure at Phillip Capital hit me hard. I will report my experiences so far in the right thread.
I'm very new to trading (as is most of the population since March of 19) but have been very guarded with my investments.
I'm hoping to learn enough via public forum, etc. to take on a bit more (cautious) risk.
I am Jkt and have been trading stocks from 2010 then stopped in 2014 then restarted again in 2020, so i might consider myself as the corona generation.
I consider myself as beginner in trading world, so hope i can learn a lot from this forum from lots of experienced traders here.
My goals in 2021 and beyond are to learn and learn and learn about psychology, money, & risk management
I'm a software engineer (real time apps, game and shit u.u) totally new to trading, just reading some very fundamental books and building up the courage to open an account with a broker, any moment now...
